"He left!" The words felt like lead. How and why did he leave her here? Did he not trust her? Was he sure that she would accept his father's offer? Nora felt awful. She wanted to scream and scold him.

Did he think she was nothing but an opportunist? How in the world was she going to confess to him when he thought so low of her. Her eyes turned misy instantly. Wait a minute! She was going to confess to him? Her own thoughts left her dumbfounded when the secretary added.

"He might have gone to the restroom. It is also in that direction." the secretary looked away awkwardly when Nora glared at him as if she had intentionally hid this important part.

"What happened? Are you done?" before she could glare enough at the secretary. A deep manly sound filled her ears and then a warm hand touched her shoulders. Nora did not realize she was shivering until his hand touched her body.

Her eyes, barely holding tears, gave up.
