"So, did you're awakening this morning?"
"Yes, sir."
"Hm."
Faced with the teacher's suspicious look, Jyro kept a slight smile without avoiding his gaze, creating an awkward atmosphere around them, attracting at the same time the stares of the other teachers whose desks were close by.
"On your file it says that your potential in the potential test is low rank MX, but from what I can see you may have a talent for controlling the aura, which could perhaps allow you to awaken your arcane, you should train rigorously from now on to at least have a hope of reaching Main Rank in your life, understand?"
Seeing Jyro nod seriously improved the teacher's mood slightly: although he was one of the worst students in his class in terms of marks, he was really hard-working and often asked for additional material to help him understand the lessons.
Seeing the professor's gaze soften, Jyro spoke with a slightly puzzled expression.
"So, sir, which class would I be assigned to?"
"You'll be assigned to class D, starting classes tomorrow."
In his previous life, he had spent three years in class D, the least promising class.
The Byonder University was extremely competitive, divided into A, B, C and D classes according to the potential of the students.
The protagonists were obviously in class A.
And the most forgettable people and students with little potential apart from being cannon fodder are grouped together in class D.
The teacher, noticing the bad mood on Jyro's face, sighed slightly; every year he saw hundreds of students like this who, despite their low potential, still had hope of going into the C B or even A section.
"You'll be in class D-48, in building 9 of the inner circle, you may go."
Jyro, who also sensed the teacher's tone becoming slightly colder, stood up and left the staffroom, heading for his room.
He changed into his training gear and headed for an imposing building some distance away.
As he entered the building, he ignored the young teenagers busy training and headed towards a private training room in front of which he placed his student card, opening the door in front of him, which closed immediately after he entered.
He jumped up and down a dozen times and couldn't help but smile
"It feels good to use your legs after so much time."
He then took a deep breath, a red misty aura slowly escaping from his body.
"Concentration."
The misty aura rapidly thickened from a vaporous consistency to a more liquid one, enveloping Jyro's entire body like a thin plastic membrane.
"Amplification."
Jyro clenched his fists and felt a red glow emanating from them.
"Projection."
He threw his fists in front of him, dissipating the red glow of his fists in the air and creating a thud that echoed throughout the small training room.
"Damn."
He fell to the ground, his body covered in sweat as he gasped for breath.
My stamina and physical strength aren't as strong as they used to be, and despite my knowledge of aura control, my body can't reproduce the sensation I remembered.
The only exception was the three basic techniques he acquired thanks to the text that appeared in front of him during his regression.
It reminded him of the system cliché in webnovels before being transported to this world, in which the protagonist could instantly master a skill he had never practised.
The test he took taught him something interesting.
"The regression ability allows me to recover 100 per cent of my selected abilities and, what's more, my experience remains in memory but my body doesn't retain any of my experiences except those I select via the regression system."
I'd have to do more experiments to be sure, but is my regression infinite or limited? And why did the being who sent him into this world give me such an ability?
Jyro shook his head quickly as he got up from the ground; in his experience, it was better not to ask questions you couldn't answer.
"For now let's make the best of this life, I'll live without regret."
He began rigorous basic physical training for over 3 hours before his stamina reached its limit, and left the training centre as night fell.
Stopping outside his bedroom door, he heard familiar voices opening the door and saw Tae-soo and Hye-soo sitting on the floor, eating crisps and drinking soda.
"Here's today's hero! Come and sit down, don't be shy."
"Shy my ass! This is my bed! There are crumbs everywhere.!!!"
. . . . . .
After an eventful evening, Jyro finally managed to get some sleep after his friends had left, and woke up the next morning with aches and pains.
"A body this weak is always better than one without legs or eyes."
Looking at himself in the mirror while wearing his student outfit.

Although he complains about his body, he's actually quite sporty, as all the Byonder aspirants had to maintain impeccable physical condition according to the training programme to speed up their awakening, with a few exceptions.
Dressed appropriately, he left his room and walked in a different direction to the previous day.
