"I'm going to assess your level of improvement compared to the beginning of the year and give you personalised exercises according to your level in preparation for the annual exam which is coming up soon. I don't expect much from people like you but I hope you won't disappoint me."
"Come on, you trash, show me what you're made of or you'll remain failures forever".
These words, spoken in a contemptuous tone, dampened the ardour of the students on the pitch, some of whom clenched their fists in anger, but no one dared retaliate against teacher Shen.
"The rules are simple, avoid killing, seriously injuring or paralysing your opponent, I really don't want to spend extra hours writing expulsion forms so you've been warned.
the winner will be decided by my assessment or if one of you drops out of the fight."
"We'll start with Vĩnh Công Phụng and Danny Miller advancing in the circle."
Reading the names of two students in his electronic notebook, Shen Zhou pointed to a large circle about 9m in diameter about ten metres away.
Two studens, having heard their names, left the crowd of students and nervously walked into the circle facing each other, a tall, skinny blond wearing red gloves and another short young man with long black hair and a long stick in his hand.
"Begin".
As soon as Shen Zhou gave the signal, the young man in the red gloves, his body covered in a white aura, dashed towards his opponent, who immediately raised his staff surrounded by a blue glow
The young man in the red gloves, named Dany, was just 2 metres from Công Phụng when the latter's stick immediately struck Danny's left cheek, knocking him backwards.
Danny, who seemed surprised by the strength and speed of his opponent's blow, quickly got to his feet, while Công Phụng took a few steps back to get into a defensive position.
Danny lunged at him again, but a little more quickly than when he first tried to attack, but before he could get any closer, Công Phụng
leaned forward and swung his staff from right to left, spinning on its axis and hitting Danny with such power that he rolled to the ground at the edge of the circle before rising, his body covered in dust and spitting out the contents of his stomach.
"He's strong!
"As one would expect of a member of the Wudang sect."
"I've got a bad feeling about this training..."
"He's a member of the Wudang?"
"Yes apparently, but he's an outcast."
"An outcast..."
Jyro, remaining silent until now, watched all this with a slight interest towards the boy named Công Phụng.
The aura is an ability that allows a person to activate the full potential of their body and mind beyond human limits, enabling them to perform miracles.
The people who awaken this aura are called by different names in different parts of the world, but the most common names are Awakeners and Byonders, and they are divided into ranks:
Lowr Rank: F E D
Main Rank : C B A
High Rank: S, SS
Peak : Honorable/ disaster
Awakeners represented just 11 million of the world's 9 billion inhabitants, and of these 11 million, 80% had only a low-rank potential.
This meant that he would never rise above rank D in their lives.
But that doesn't mean that it was easy to wait for Rand D. To reach such a rank, it would take about 5 or 10 years of intensive training for a rank F , who is freshly awakened and learning to control his aura, to reach rank D.
So what are the conditions for being recognised as an E or D rank?
The amount of vital energy or aura.
That can only be acquired with time, talent, extremely expensive medicines or other more esoteric means is also essential.
Aura control.
Good aura control is not easily acquired; it requires either talent or great determination. The best way to achieve good aura control is to master the three basics :
●Concentration: Gathering and maintaining your aura in a specific area for as long and as efficiently as possible, rather than letting it dissipate into thin air.
●Amplification: Increase the power of your aura by using your esprirt to increase the effectiveness and power of the aura tenfold for a period that varies from user to user.
●Projection: Materialise your aura or project it outside your body.
These were basic techniques that every aura user had to master, even at the highest level.
The boy named Công Phụng was already using the basics of aura intelligently despite his low level of control, concentrating all his aura in his staff and amplifying the aura in it when he attacked his opponent, taking advantage of the superior range of his weapon and using it to repel his opponent, who obviously looked like a close combat practitioner, thus combining defence and attack.
He is at least rank E with only his control level, his opponent doesn't stand a chance.
"Công Phụng win."
A few minutes later, as if to confirm Jyro's thoughts, Shen Zhou announced Danny's defeat and he fell to the ground, his body covered in bruises.
"Get out of my circle and go to the infirmary loser."
Shen Zhou muttered coldly as he jotted something down in his electronic notebook, not glancing at Danny on the floor, who gritted his teeth and struggled to his feet, stepping out of the circle under the cold gaze of his opponent, who returned to him in the crowd of students looking on in awe.
Unlike the first fight, all the others were less interesting, with the exception of a few. Shen Zhou mercilessly insulted the losers, even making one of them cry as he was mocked by the merciless laughter of some of the students.
"Next Fukushima Enri v Jyro Klayn."
Jyro, whose turn it was, calmly stepped out of the crowd, attracting the attention of the other students, as a girl with red hair and a fringed hairstyle, about 1.71m tall and dressed in black tracksuits, came forward with a wooden sword in her hand.
"Give up."
These were the first words the girl spoke in a low voice as they entered the circle, making Jyro smile slightly.
"Why?"
