Chapter 11

Larry's blue eyes were tantalizing.

Some days they were like the clear blue sky. But right at this moment as we were lying chest to chest on top of his bed, both equally flustered, they looked like a deep-blue ocean. And the harder I look, the deeper I fall.

Larry why are you doing this to me?

His face was like the red star in the northern sky as the tip of our nose touched. He gently placed his hands at the back of my head and I could feel his fingers combed my hair.

He pulled me in like the blackhole that he was.

My knees weakened and my face burned. I could not summon any strength to resist. Even light could not escape space odditties like blackholes. How much more could I?

His burning lips parted in anticipation and so did mine. And then he kissed me ever so softly that my heart melted right on the spot. He bit my bottom-lip delicately and my mind blurred.

I kissed him back. And then we were kissing torridly that our breathing became heavy.

The door slammed open and Mr. Magsalay appeared cradling Mr. William Shakespaw in his arms.

We bolted away from each other.

"Why do you guys look like you've seen a ghost?" Mr. Magsalay furrowed his bushy eyebrows.

I cleared my throat and Larry faked a cough.

Mr. Shakespaw yawned. His pointy ears twitched involuntarily and he stared at our direction, judging us with his green eyes.

God, I hate this cat.

"You guys wanna go for a swim?" Said Mr. Magsalay who was incapable of hiding the excitement in his eyes.

Larry seized the moment to break the ice and said "Yeah, that'd be cool dad...we'll be downstairs in a heartbeat!"

"Florante?"

"Yeah, cool..." said I, dusting planetary particles off of my pants.

Mr. Magsalay shut the door as he went downstairs.

Once again, Larry and I were left alone...and I wanted to hide in the corner.

"Hey, sorry about that..." he stuttered.

I did not answer.

"We're cool, right?" He asked painfully.

"Yeah...." I can't even look at him in the eyes.

I did not say much in the pool. Perhaps, I never did say anything at all. All I did was avoid Larry's eyes, and Olivia's and Johnny's.

The dusk was breaking and the sky was neither dark nor bright. And I hated that things can't be what they were for what its worth.

"Thanks for coming over Florante....see you on Monday?"

"Yeah..." I lied.
