Noah awoke, feeling as though he'd slept for a decade. As he rose and looked around, disorientation settled in. The world was unrecognizable. Ruined buildings loomed around him, their skeletal remains draped in thick moss, giving the city an eerie, forgotten feel.
He began to search, and soon found an unconscious girl, alive but unresponsive. He quickly picked her up and waited for her to wake. Hours passed, and his stomach growled, a sharp reminder of his hunger. He scavenged for food, finding little in the desolate landscape. "This little bit will have to do," he muttered to himself. She blinked at him, confusion clouding her eyes. "Who are you and what's going on?" she asked.
Noah sighed, realizing they were both lost. "I'm Noah," he said. "I was hoping you'd fill me in."
She regained her composure quickly.
"I'm Yuri. Do you know where we are?"
He shook his head. "It looks like Tokyo, from the infrastructure, but it's abandoned. What could've happened?"
They both fell silent, the weight of their predicament sinking in
