HANEUL recalled how Taeyang had been acting completely normal earlier that day. In fact, he had been unusually kind to him, especially compared to how he treated others. Perhaps it was because Haneul had helped his cousin. But then, Seojun joined them in the practice room. Shortly after, Taeyang left the practice room, and from that point on, his behavior had taken a strange turn.

Taeyang began to distance himself from him, which might seem strange to point out since they had only started talking two days ago. Yet, it was impossible not to notice when someone was actively avoiding you—especially when their behavior before and after was so starkly different.

The most frustrating part was that Taeyang always looked like he wanted to approach him, but forced himself to hold back. It was like watching someone eyeing a specific dish they clearly wanted but stopping themselves from asking for it. Okay, maybe that was a weird analogy, but that should still get the point across.
