Journey Starts

Adam ignores the text and stores the map inside the inventory. Adam then looks at Harold and sees that he doesn't even flinch as he does it.

'Maybe inventory wasn't something exclusive only to players'

Adam then returns his attention to Harold when he starts to speak again.

"Anyway, when you arrive at the town, just give the letter to the town guards. They will know what to do with it."

Adam nods and then Kayla comes out of the kitchen bringing out a bowl of soup and a loaf of bread.

"Here is some food for you, my dear. I baked deer meat soup and a loaf of bread just this afternoon. "

Adam takes the food happily and eats it politely. Adam is surprised at how good the food is since even in the real world the foods are not this good. When Adam finished eating, he thanked Harold and Kayla for the food and left the house.

Adam then walks towards a more secluded part of the villages and since it is night there are barely any players in the villages. Most of them are probably out there hunting or something.

Since that's the case, Adam decides to check his loot today. For one he finally found a way to go to the town. Secondly, he had just upgraded most of his skills to EX-rank. Lastly, he might have possibly gained an item that will help him a lot in the future.

Adam then opens his status and decides to level up to 10. When the 300 exp is consumed a bright light falls on him multiple times. He then took out the map and finally, the notification appeared.

[Do you wish to use map?]

[Yes/No]

Clicking 'yes' a small map icon appears at the edge of his sight. Adam clicks the icon and the map icon expands onto a full size map. Adam then observes the map and sees a red pointer with a 'You're Here' right above it. Adam then sees that on the map there is another landmark that's named 'Quizo'. Adam assumes that that is probably the town. Along the way, He also sees a few areas on the map divided by region. On top of the regions is the level of the regions. From his experience of playing video games, that is probably the range of the level of monsters. Adam is particularly interested in the region with a skull mark on it.

Adam decides to go to the town first since the skull mark is a little further in the monster region. He feels pretty confident that whatever happens in there he could easily take it.

Adam looked at the sunrise and decided to start his journey then and there. He slides the map to the sides to close it but is surprised when the map becomes a mini version of it. Adam then walks following the map and finally enters a new region.

[Congratulations on successfully being the first person to leave the novice village region.]

[Rewards: 1 Gold Chest, 1 gold coin, and 500 exp]

Adam looks at it with surprise. He would have thought that a lot of people would already left the novice village area. Even one would make much more sense to him. What Adam didn't know is that to leave the region, a player needs to have the ability to fight against at least a level 10 monster.

Unfortunately, the level 10 monsters usually live in groups and for those that live alone, they are usually the elite and above type monsters.

Adam then shrugs it off and decides that it's probably because of his talent that he got a headstart over the other players. Adam continues his journey deeper into the wilderness. Along the way, he meets a few higher level monsters. Their levels usually range from 12-18.

Of course, there is exceptions such as a lesser werewolf that is level 19. Adam kills most of them easily except for one bird-type monster that flies so fast, that Adam has trouble shooting it down.

Adam continues down the road when suddenly he hears a monster roar from the distance. Adam is immediately interested by the roar since that is the sound of an Ogre roar that he had experienced last time.

Since the roar is not targeted at him, Adam is not affected by the skill effect. Adam casts [Stealth] and approaches the area silently. When the Ogre comes into view, Adam also sees a few shorter figures encircling the Ogre. Adam looks at the Ogre level and it is level 20.

This is the first level 20 monster that Adam has seen. One thing to note about the Ogre is that the Ogre is twice the size of the Ogre that he fought last time. Its skin is also a tinge red darker. Adam continues to observe the situation and overall, Adam can say for sure that they are a very good team.

Adam's just about to leave when suddenly the Ogre roars again but this time the skin looks like it started to burn as it turns bright red. Adam speculates that this is probably the skill [Rage] that will enhance a person's stats but will gain debuff after a period of time.

"It has use [Rage]. Get into defensive formation."

Hearing one of the knight's commands, the others started to form a curve formation, and all of them pulled out a big shield. Each of them casts what's presumably a skill and summons a giant light shield in front of them.

The Ogre roars and rushes towards the shield and swings its battle axe. To Adam's surprise, they hold out quite well against the Ogre's attack. Swing after swing and soon the burning red color on the Ogre's skin starts to wane. The mages in the group start to cast some elemental-type spell and just as the Ogre collapses on the ground the knights dispel the shield and the mages release their spells.

A large explosion sounded as the spells landed on the Ogre. They celebrate as the Ogre completely dies and its corpse lies there. Adam was about to turn around and leave them to continue his journey when suddenly 4 more roars sounded from the forest.

4 Ogres that look pissed rush at them with their battle axes. The group immediately falls into panic as they rush into formation under the leadership of the head knight or as Adam decides to call him. They manage to resist for a while but soon their shields start to crack and they fall into despair.

Adam finally didn't sit still anymore and rushed towards the Ogres to help the group. When the group sees Adam rushing toward the Ogres, they scream at him asking him to turn around and run. Adam ignores them and pulls out his sword.

He jumps at one of the nearest Ogre, swings the sword, and immediately chops off one of the Ogre's head. Adam then summons multiple mana spears and sends them straight into the eyes of the remaining Ogres. They scream as they get blinded by the spears. Adam then coats his sword with sword aura, growing his sword 4 times its length without changing its weight.

Adam then uses it to behead the remaining Ogres, thus ending the battle. The group looks at Adam as if they are a deer that is flashed by a headlight in the middle of a road. They never thought that the boy who suddenly came out of nowhere is stonger than them.

Adam keeps the corpses of the Ogre in inventory as he slowly walks towards the group.

"Hello, my name is Adam White. How are you all doing?"
