Elementals skill book
Opening the door, a bell rings as Adam steps into the store. Adam looks around and sees many and he means many rows of books. The number of books in here will probably shame the library in the real world. He looks around and sees a few counters with a few clerks behind them.
Adam approaches one of them and asks one of them. "Hello, may I know where are the skill books?"
"What type of skill books are you searching for, sir?" One of them replies to Adam.
"Are there any elemental type skill books?" Adam asks hopefully.
"If elemental type skill books are on rows 6-10. You may finalize your purchase here, sir."
"I see. Thank you."
With that, Adam walks towards the 6th row and searches for suitable skill books. His targets are low ranking skills from varying elements. He searches around the first row and finds [Fireball]. [Fireball] is a D-rank fire elemental skill. Adam does find other elemental skill books but most of them are either too high ranking or the name is weird.
On the 7th row, Adam finds [Water Jet] and [Earth Wall]. Both of them are D-rank skills that as the name suggests are from water and earth elements. Moving on to the 8th row, Adam finds [Gust], [Ice Bullet] and [Lightning Strike]. [Gust] is a D-rank wind type elemental skill while [Ice Bullet] and [Lightning Strike] are B-rank skills with ice and lightning type elemental skills.
Adam then moves on to the 9th row. The 9th row doesn't have anything that particularly interests Adam. Most of them are either too high ranking of a skill or just a copy of something he had already seen.
Finally, Adam moves on to the last row. The 10th row probably has the least people out of all the book rows. When Adam enters this row, Adam realizes something interesting about this row. In every other row, there are at least dozens of books while in this row there are barely ten of them. Out of all of them, one of them interests Adam. He picks up the skill book and reads the name of the skill book. [Summon Skeleton]. An E-rank skill book that summons skeletons if the name isn't obvious enough. Apparently, it is a darkness element skill book.
Adam looks around and sees a clerk filling up books on the other shelves. Adam then approaches the clerk to ask some questions.
"Hello, may I know why this row has only ten books?"
"Ah, you must be new here, sir. The 10th row of the elemental section is the place where we put the unwanted skill books."
"Unwanted?"
"Yeah, most skill books get replaced regularly since some people will always buy them. But those skill books are skills that are what most people would call garbage."
"Why would people call them that? And why is this skill book [Summon Skeleton] in the elemental section and not the summoning section?"
"The reason people call them that is because the effects of the skills aren't even good enough to use to kill a level 1 monster. For example [Summon Skeleton] is an elemental type is because the skeleton that is summoned is actually formed by your mana. For the skeleton that is used by the necromancer, the skill is [Raise The Dead] which will use a corpse to summon 1 skeleton. But the skeleton formed by your mana will imitate your physical capability. I heard that the skill will only copy 1% of your physical body and the skeleton doesn't have any skill. As you can see this skill seems like a skill that is made for a warrior but to use it you need a significant amount of mana which most warriors lack. While mages that have a lot of mana don't have a good physical body most of the time. That's the reason why people don't buy it. In fact, all the skill books in that row are in a similar situation."
"I see. But I can still buy this right?"
"Yes, sir. In fact, I think there are discounts for those books."
"Alright. Thanks for answering my question."
"It's my pleasure, sir."
Adam takes all the skill books he had picked and goes to the counter. The clerk at the counter pulls out a paper and a pen and starts to list out all the skill books that he picks and finally, a total comes out.
"The total is 270 gold coins and 5 silver coins, sir"
Adam already expects the price since there is no way for B-rank skill books will cost so little. Adam was even prepared to put back a few books just in case. Adam pulls out his coin pouches and pays it.
Adam puts the skill books into his inventory and exits the store. He walks around the market center and finally finds a relatively quiet place. Adam sits on a nearby bench and takes out the skill books.
Immediately learning all the skills, Adam's mind is overwhelmed with an insane amount of information. His head starts to hurt for a bit until everything immediately calms down.

Without thinking much Adam directly maxs out all of his skills and evolves them.

Adam feels a little hurt seeing his exp dropping down to 4 digits but when he looks at his skills, it makes him giggle evily.
"Hehehehehehehehehe, my enemy are so doom."
Suddenly, a voice calls out to him making him turn around. A figure suddenly jumps him and hangs on his neck.
"Adam! It's been so long since I've seen you."
Adam smiles as he hugs the little figures.
"Hey, Carl. It's good seeing you too."
"When are you coming home? We all miss you."
"Come on, Carl. I've only left for like a month or so. It's not so long."
"Yeah. But mom is making me do all the chores that usually is done by you. Plus my chores, there's so many chores now."
"Oh please. Don't be dramatic. My chores are just throwing out the trash that is done once every 2 days and unloading the dishwasher. It's not that bad."
"Ugh. But I now have less time to play video games. If not I would have arrived here a lot faster. Anyway, I want to ask you a very important question."
"Hmm, what is it?"
"Are you the Adam White on the Combat Power Ranking?"
"Yeah."
"Woah, so cool. How are you so strong? Can you help me be as strong? Can I join your guild later?"
"Hahaha, slow down buddy. Sure I could help you to go farm monsters. As for how I am so strong, it is because of my talent but I won't tell you what it is. You need to guess. And yes you can join me later. Anyway, what level are you now?"
"I'm level 13 now. I am 9th in the Level Ranking too."
"Good. What about the number 1 on Level Ranking? What is the level?"
"Last time I checked, it is level 17. But she may already reach a higher level."
"I see. Anyway, how are Mom and Dad? I've been busy these past two days."
"Mom and Dad are fine. I heard Dad is interested in joining Terra too and I quote 'These old bones need to move too.'. As for Mom, I try to persuade her to play on the account that she can meet you online but Mom is still thinking about it."
"And they still haven't heard that I drop out of college right?"
"Yeah, I handle that. In return though, you need to help me become stronger. I want to at least be second on the Combat Power Ranking."
"Okay okay. Anyway, let's meet with my local friends first. Then we can go farming."
"Yay!!"
