Chapter 293: Conquering the Sunset Forest, Warmth in the Tent

Sunset Forest.

Su Bai arrived with Bibi Dong, A Yin, and Xiao Wu in the evening.

"It's so dirty here, all muddy and wet," Bibi Dong frowned. "How are we supposed to sleep?"

"Ew..." Xiao Wu crouched down and touched the soil with a look of disgust. "This is so gross."

"Gross? I think it's fine," A Yin said, picking up the black mud indifferently. "But it's not great for sleeping."

"It must have rained recently, making everything wet," Su Bai observed.

"So, we can't sleep here tonight..." Bibi Dong said regretfully.

"Not necessarily," Su Bai smiled. "I have a plan."

"Hmm? Su Bai, what do you have in mind?" Xiao Wu asked curiously.

Su Bai pulled out a large tent from somewhere.

"I've always thought that sleeping out in the open isn't very comfortable, so I prepared a tent," Su Bai explained with a grin.

However, setting it up proved difficult.

The tent was large enough for six or seven people, but the trees in the Sunset Forest were too close together, leaving no space for it.

"No problem," Bibi Dong said, waving her hand. A wave of energy spread out, instantly reducing the surrounding trees to dust.

The wave continued, causing the entire Sunset Forest to tremble.

In the core of the forest, a pair of large, silver eyes opened in the darkness.

A shadowy figure slowly stood up.

"The aura of a human Douluo..."

"It's been a long time since any human dared to enter my territory. These people seem to have forgotten the fear the ruler of the Sunset Forest can bring," the ruler of the Sunset Forest muttered, displeased.

He didn't want anyone disturbing his peaceful life.

"Hmph, I'll send a hundred-thousand-year-old beast to test them. If they can't even handle that, they're not worthy of seeing me," the shadow thought before lying back down.

"Wolf, come here."

The shadow communicated telepathically with one of his subordinates.

Soon, a robust man in gray-black clothing appeared before the ruler of the Sunset Forest.

"Master, you called?" The man knelt immediately.

"Wolf, go deal with the humans who entered our forest," the ruler commanded coldly.

"What level are they?" Wolf asked.

"At most a Douluo," the ruler replied. "You should handle it easily."

"Alright, I'll go," Wolf accepted the order and left.

Meanwhile.

After creating enough space, Su Bai quickly set up the tent.

"Since we're camping, shouldn't we have something to match the occasion?" Bibi Dong asked with a smile.

"Match the occasion?" Su Bai didn't quite understand.

Bibi Dong then produced some barbecue skewers.

"Wow, you really know how to enhance the experience," Su Bai exclaimed, feeling the camping vibe instantly.

"I knew you'd like this," Bibi Dong laughed.

She quickly found some branches and set up a grill.

Su Bai snapped his fingers, and a small lightning bolt ignited the fire starter.

This was the power of Su Bai's spirit bone.

"The fire's lit, blow on it!" Bibi Dong instructed.

"Don't rush," Su Bai chuckled, extending his other hand.

A gentle breeze blew, and the fire grew larger.

"Hmm?" Bibi Dong sensed something. "Are you really using your hundred-thousand-year spirit bones like this?"

She realized Su Bai was subtly using the power of his left and right hundred-thousand-year spirit bones.

Left hand for lightning, right hand for wind.

"Don't worry about the details," Su Bai said, enjoying himself.

"Seriously... who uses their hundred-thousand-year spirit bones like this? And both at the same time?" Bibi Dong laughed, shaking her head.

Su Bai proudly said, "I can't help it if I'm just this amazing."

He then began preparing the barbecue.

As the meat sizzled and cooked, the aroma attracted many spirit beasts.

After all, the delicious smell interested them too.

"Well, well, I wondered who it was. Turns out it's a bunch of youngsters having a cookout in my forest," a discordant voice interrupted.

Su Bai frowned, and Bibi Dong immediately scanned the surroundings.

A Yin, who didn't like fire much, was accompanied by Xiao Wu.

As soon as the voice spoke, Xiao Wu perked up her ears.

A Yin also became alert, and several Blue Silver Grass vines spread out stealthily.

"Who are you? Would you like to join us for some food?" Su Bai asked, closing his eyes to search for the speaker.

In the darkness, possibly influenced by the unique conditions of the Sunset Forest, Su Bai couldn't pinpoint the source of the voice.

However, he did sense a few ordinary spirit beasts gathering around.

These spirit beasts, despite their low obedience, were attracted by the same thing.

Thus, the speaker could easily hide among them.

But Su Bai had his own methods.

His eyes turned white.

"Roar!"

A dragon's roar emanated from Su Bai.

He controlled the power carefully, ensuring it only affected a certain range so as not to reveal his full strength to unknown enemies.

The ancient dragon's aura descended, compelling all spirit beasts to submit instinctively.

Except for one.

Su Bai smiled faintly and appeared before the spirit beast in an instant.

To his surprise, it was a gray-black wolf.

A hundred-thousand-year-old spirit beast.

"Hey, didn't expect to find a hundred-thousand-year-old right away," Su Bai said with a smile. "Submit or die, your choice."

Wolf squinted and said, "Sorry, I already have a master."

"Master?" Su Bai was intrigued. "Who is your master?"

Wolf, thinking his master's reputation might intimidate Su Bai, replied, "Listen well, my master is the ruler of the entire Sunset Forest. You'd better leave, or you'll all die when he comes."

Su Bai chuckled. "So, if I conquer your master, the Sunset Forest will be mine?"
