Chapter 11

This is the first day of school so the school actually starts later because of this we have time to mess and look around the school.

I called this place a school even though it's an academy so I should call it an academy instead.

Yuki took us to the cafeteria, where Mia ordered some food. Because Yuki and I weren't hungry, we didn't order anything. After that, Yuki continued to show us around the scho- I mean the academy—until we encountered a certain someone.

"Well, well, well, I've been expecting you Edmund" A female student said while walking down the stairs. As she walked down, she stepped into the sunlight, and the shadow covering her began to disappear. Revealing her long silky black hair which was black as night with a red shriek and her crimson-red eyes, which fit with the academy's red jacket uniform really well. Despite her beautiful face and slender frame, she gives out an air of authority around her.

She looked at me coldly. She and I have a strange relationship.

"Why are you with this empty-headed gorilla?"

"Are you really having an affair with this animal?"

"Even though you are my fiancee?"

Akane Lai is the only daughter of Riku Lai, one of the richest people in the world, probably in at least the top 10. Her older brothers are competing to be the heir of the Lai Clan and the Lai Conglomeration. Normally, in households like this, she would be ignored by the older male siblings because she is the youngest and a girl. But her brothers are some of the worst and most irritating people I've ever met. 

They either saw her as a tool to help them win or a threat or even worse both. It also doesn't help that she is the only child of her father's favorite wife and that she is a genius. 

Which could threaten their positions, her father eventually commanded them to stop but it was a temporary measure because there would be nothing stopping them once he died. Those brothers are vicious and power-hungry they wouldn't respect his wishes even if it's his death wish so he asks Dad for an arranged marriage and since Dad owns him something and they are good friends he agrees.

"I don't want to hear from you, you man-stealing snake!"

"I met Edmund first! You don't even like him, you said it yourself!"

"Still doesn't change the fact that you tried to take someone else's fiancee"

"Oh shut up, the only reason why you're his fiancee is because of your dysfunctional, shitty family!"

"I know what your uncle did, you have no right to say I don't have a dysfunctional family"

"My is waayyy more functional than yours only my uncle was the problem"

"And what did you do to your uncle huh?"

"..."

"As expected of a Yoshida, a bunch of savage animals" Akane said while giving a cold disgusted look.

"Says a Lai, how many illegitimate children did you brothers have again?" Their auras were clashing with each other at this point.

"And also you're his only fiancee because arranging marriages in Elysium is a nightmare!"

The Lais and the Yoshidas have a really strong and intense rivalry that has been ongoing(kind of) for over at least a hundred years. I don't know why, though. The Yoshidas were the classic military, warrior clan, while the Lais were the newer, innovative, merchant-type clan. They used to compete for political power, but now they don't because the Lai Clan won after the Yoshida Clan's fall from grace. 

"Now stop your fighting" I interrupted them.

"You should give us your opinion Ed"

"Yeah I agree, even though I don't really care anyways"

"I'm just curious that's all" Yeah sure Akane.

Goddamnit why did I interrupt them? How do I escape this situation… Oh right, Mia is here she can save me. I looked at Mia pleading for help, Mia noticed it and with an evil smile, gave me a thumbs up. 

"SHIT DID SHE NOT NOTICE IT??? NAH MIA IS A REALLY SMART AND TALENTED GIRL SHE DEFINITELY NOTICES. HOW COULD BETRAY ME LIKE THIS MIA!!!!"

I could see Mia chuckling at my despair. I will get her back for this!

Wait never mind she seemed to be mouthing something.

"Good luck with my sister-in-laws"

Bruh… After mouthing those words she disappeared into the wind…

"HAHAHAHAHA, she left you to the wolves, HAHAHAHA" Loki laughed to my mind.

"Loki?! You were watching? Where the hell are you?"

"I'm not telling you"

"I will remove your balls then"

"I sincerely and humbly apologize for my transaction towards you sir, I'm on the rooftop"

"Well, you change your tone quickly don't you"

"Yes sir"

"Good, now help me get out of this problem"

"I don't know how"

"Fuck you mean you don't know how?!"

"Weren't you the god of trickery in your world?"

"Yeah but that's a loooonnnnnggg time ago, No one even worships me anymore"

"Fine, just get out"

"Sure"

Think Edmund what can you do to get out of this situation?

"Well, Ed what do you think?"

"Think about what?"

"Don't try to avoid the question" 

"What question my wonderful fiancee?

"Fine if you want to dig a bigger hole for yourself then answer this question"

"Who do you think is more beautiful me or Yuki?"

"Yeah, I want to know"

"And if you try to run away, I won't make deserts for you ever again," Akane said with a chilling aura.

Fuuuucccckkkkk, I jump out of a burning building and straight into the inferno fires of Hell. Let's not dig a deeper hole and just answer them.

"Promise you guys won't kill-"

"No promises" 

"No promises" Both of them cut me off instantly.

"So cold"

"Fine if you want my honest answer..."

Akane and Yuki's faces filled with anticipation.

"I think…"

"Drumrolls please"

"Akane is more beautiful"

Akane's eyes lit up while Yuki's eyes again turned soulless.

But before Akane could celebrate her victory.

 "BUT Yuki is cuter(and have a bigger chest)"

Akane stared at me with cold eyes that shot knives at me while Yuki's eyes became bright again.

"You womanizing playboy trash" The air turned dead cold and Akane's aura became even more intimidating.

"Horny animal in heat, less than human, scum of scum, the absolute worse"

Each insult feels like I got stabbed with different types of weapons.

"You're just saying only to save your own hide"

"Yeah obviously"

The air became even colder.

"Hehehe, he says I'm cute" While Yukki is in her own little world.

"BUT I am telling the truth"

"Don't lie trash"

"I'm not lying I swear to God!"

"You know I'm from a religious family so you know I don't use that word lightly"

"If I'm lying then my dad will beat my ass"

"Fine"

"But you have to give me compensation"

"For what?"

"For being a womanizing horndog"

"What do you want as compensation then?"

Akane blushed and went quiet for a second before finally opening her mouth.

"I want a… kiss" Her face turned even redder.

"..."

"W-why are you quiet?"

"Do you not want to or like it?"

"No, no, no it's not like that"

"I was just surprised that's all"

She's embarrassed that's fucking adorable.

"So you like me after all"

"N-NO, I DON'T!"

"What a tsundere, so cutee~"

"FORGET IT!" Akane turned her tomato-red face away and started walking away but before she could I grabbed her hand"

"What is it!?" She said while turning her head away from me, trying to hide her red face.

"I'm compensating you"

I lean my face close to her face and start kissing her, she resisted at first but quickly relented as my tongue dominated her mouth. 

After a while our lips and tongues parted leaving a shimming string.

Akane was in a trance, touching her lips for a few moments before covering her mouth.

"W-W-WHY DID YOU KISS ME SO SUDDENTLY?!"

"You asked for it"

"Yeah… but you could at least let me get ready... creep" Akane said, her voice low and embarrassed.

"Sorry, sorry but you do like it right?"

"It's okay not that good"

"Really? Because you look like you were really enjoying it"

"Fine I'll admit it, it was… good"

"Oh my God, Akane finally stopped being a tsundere and admitted her feelings"

"Shuddupp…"

"*cough Also how did you do that? It was different from last time"

"Experience," I said confidently

Akane sighed.

But when it finally seemed that I would survive the hallway was filled with despair and murderous intent. 

I forgot about Yuki…

I turn to look at her and she looks like a girl who lost everything in life. Her eyes looked dead like a person who lost all their purpose in life. 

Yuki began mumbling incoherently.

This is what I get for dating a yandere.
