The "Fairy of the Empire" or Sophia Carter is the first princess of the Carterian Empire and the current president of the Academy. She is widely considered to be the most beautiful girl in the world sharing the title with Helen of Troy her ancestor. She is distantly related to Edmund while normally this wouldn't be anything special because Carterian Emperors are known to have many children. However, Edmund's Gift factors is a duplication of the original Gift factor that was created when an identical twin is born as the firstborn sons of the Gift holder as such his branch line is considered legitimate.

Mia is Edmund's only sister. She's usually quiet when talking to people, but when she's with people she likes(especially her brother), her personality flips. Her standards for men are insanely high and skewed because of her brother. Because of this, she sees most men as lower than her brother. She still has male friends, but she would never consider them potential romantic partners. Every character likes her but she's especially close with Sophia and also Yuki due to them sharing the same hobbies, likes, and dislikes.

How Gift works:
So basically every child of the Gift holder will have their Gift but the children don't pass it down to their children. Only the firstborn(Which is almost male) of a Gift holder will have a Gift factor and when the Gift holder dies the son with the Gift factor becomes the Gift holder and their firstborn will have a Gift factor and so on. But what happens when the firstborn of a Gift holder is an identical twin? Then the Gift duplicates that's why the Carters have 3 main lines. Another family has identical twins too but not as much as the Carter family.
When the person with the Gift factor dies, the Gift transfers to their children. If they have no children, it is passed down to the second oldest sibling. If they have no siblings, the Gift goes to their parents, and if their parents are dead, the Gift is gone forever.
All Gifts are not created equal some are better and stronger than others.
Families with Gifts typically have a son as their firstborn then the ratio becomes normal again but this isn't true for some families some do have an even ratio of male and female like the Yoshidas.
Males with a Gift factor typically have multiple panthers due to tradition and instinct to have many children to keep the Gift from extinction.
The Hero's Faith:
The Hero's Faith is as you can guess the religion of the heroes. It is a butchered version of Christianity in this world because its founders(heroes) can't remember all the details in the bible, mistranslation, different interpretations, etc. Though Hero's Faith still worships Jesus and God and still mostly or somewhat has the core beliefs and messages. The faith is divided into sects that are technically under the pope. This used to be true but after blunders, crises, and 1000 years the Pope's power has greatly diminished though some sects still follow the orders of the Pope.
Sects:
Center Church: This is the main sect of the faith that is headed by the Pope. They mostly follow traditional Christian beliefs.

Episteme Sect: This sect believes that faith, reason, and logic are not opposites but complementary. They believe that God gave them understanding as a gift to humanity as such they see that understanding and exploring the universe and its laws is a virtue. The priests of this sect are often scholars and scientists to understand God's holy creations. Because of the emphasis on understanding they're quite tolerant of others. Something unique about them is that they allow polygamy due to low population caused by a series of events such as the Grand Invasion of Cateria, the Wood Plague, and a famine that decimated their population. Especially the males because they have to fight to liberate their land while also being exposed to the Plague. During the Grand Invasion Cateria was invaded by every other empire on the continent that the Empire of Rencia spearheaded that's why Cateria and Rencia hate each other. The Pope did nothing to stop the invasion but even worse they supported the invasion. This caused the Episteme Sect to spit off from the Church in all but name and part of this effort to separate was the Episteme Sect allowing polygamy. In the modern era, polygamy isn't practiced as much as before like after the Great War but it is still practiced a little bit. The Sect is headed by the Emperor of the Caterian Empire. They also see guns as holy weapons and symbols like swords as such almost every household owns a gun.

Caterian: Mix of English, Ancient Greek, Remic, and other native languages in Cateria before the Carerian Empire.
Japanese: It's mostly unaltered but it still has some native and Charanese influences. The reason why it is mostly unaltered is that it was similar to the native so there isn't much mistranslation and also because the natives saw Japanese as a divine language sent by the gods so they quickly adopted it.
