Ethan's Command

"How come you're not reading with the light on?" Lily asked in surprise, looking at the not-so-bright bedside lamp. "This will hurt your eyes."

"I'm afraid that if the light is too bright, it will disturb Miss Anderson's sleep," Nanny said with a smile as she stood up and turned on the lights in the room. "Is Miss Anderson hungry? I'll cook some porridge for you."

The room suddenly became bright.

"No trouble needed, I'm not hungry now. I can make something to eat when I'm hungry."

She wasn't disabled, just had a stomach problem, and her previous cold had already recovered. Her body had been no longer precious since nine years ago.

"That's not okay. If you get hungry, Mr. Blackwood will blame me."

"Nanny, you are an elder. Please don't use honorifics for me in the future; just call me Lily," Lily said with a smile, sitting up in bed.
