Then suddenly, she felt the heat from him being so close to her disappear and she opened her eyes in time to see him walk away from her.
"Why did you not tell me?" He growled, his voice husky and annoyed.
Naiari frowned and blinked, a little dazed. She had thought that he was going to kiss her and she had been looking forward to it when he suddenly left her and it took a second for her brain to work. "tell you what?"
"Why did you not tell me that you were not actually my bride, that you had been forced to come in her place!"
And even though his voice remained calm, Naiari could still hear the anger in his voice and she raised an eyebrow in disbelief.
'What an insufferable jackass, did he not see how everyone of them treated me? How was I supposed to believe that some random king was going to believe me if?' She bristled at his question.
