"Already?" Kael asked looking displeased. "You have not been here that long enough to want to leave so soon."
"It has been over a month Kael." Arlo replied with a deadpan expression and a hint of exasperation.
His face lightened up as he saw the disappointment on Kael's face, "You don't need me anymore plus you are about to start a new phrase in your life. You don't need an old man meddling now do you? I bet your bride will not enjoy that."
Kael sighed inaudibly, as much as he hated it, he had to admit that Arlo had stayed a long time in Kwall but he knew that he would miss the old man's wisdom and he wished that he could make him stay.
Most especially now that the people he had considered family had betrayed him so badly, who was he supposed to turn to?
As if reading his thoughts, Arlo spoke. "You know that you are about to have a family in your new Queen, you will not be alone." Arlo said softly.
