The spinster's manservant.

Overcoming her shock, Lady Danbury let her eyes wonder again, it's then when she noticed that by the side of Lady Vega, was a wooden cane, adorned at the top of its handle with a large green gemstone.

"Well, now that I have answered your question About who I am, Lady Danbury.

I must excuse myself." Lady Vega said before she grabbed her cane and stood-up, both hands resting on the cane.

Lady Danbury was surprised to see such a young woman in need of a walking cane, and since she also wears glasses, her vision must be poor as well, is that one of the reasons why she remained hiding from society?

Bowing for the queen, "Your majesty allow me to take leave, I know we usually spend more time than this on our rendezvous, but I am feeling a bit weak.

I have not been able to sleep much as of late." Lady Vega stated.

"Goodness, Did something cause your insomnia? Your skin is always looking fresh and youthful it is hard to believe you aren't getting a proper rest, Safa." Charlotte asked.

"It is all thanks to the skin cream I use, I made it myself! if you wish I can bring you a sample to test, although you hardly need it your majesty.

You look young enough to be my sister." Lady Vega replied making the queen smile thanks to the compliment, "As for why I cannot seem to sleep these days, it is because I am working on a new invention.

I will be sure to tell you all about it next time we see each other, should we live to see that day." Lady Vega added before she bowed again and excused herself.

As she exited the room, "Agatha." Charlotte's voice was suddenly serious.

"I know your majesty...I cannot apologize enough, it is just that I have never seen you act this way, and as your friend I was genuinely worried.

How did you even stumble upon this woman?" Agatha asked.

"It was the strangest of circumstances, all I can tell you for now is that woman, has offered me a much needed help one day.

I then became interested in her and her way of life, I invited her weeks ago for tea as a thank-you gesture but I was enchanted by the way she speaks and think.

She knows how to have a good conversation, and keeps me well entertained." Charlotte replied with a grin.

"She mentioned two friends, A Lord and a manservant.

How unusual for a woman her age and status to be friends with two gentlemen." Agatha said, "Oh yes, I have personally met them, they were there the day she helped me." Charlotte replied.

"They were there?"

"Agatha, if you wish to interrogate me about Safa, why don't you pay her a visit instead.

I am sure she knows more about herself than I do, besides...you have ignored my request and came here unwanted, she left due to your behavior and I am currently angry with you.

However, If you are truly curious about her, I doubt she will hide from you any longer if you were to visit her, who knows! maybe you can convince her to settle down properly as a lady should, I believe a woman like her deserve a good man from a good family as husband.

She needs someone to help her deal with life."

"You wish for her to be married? The young lady has betrayed any hint of wanting matrimony, so why want her to find a husband?" Agatha asked, "I came to gain affection for the poor girl, she is by all means a lonely woman in a big house, with a fortune to spare and a manservant as her only friend there.

Not to mention that flamboyant womanizer Lord Teaton, although Safa and that lord apparently have a business partnership as well as a friendship gathering them together, I cannot help but feel she needs more than a friend or a business partner.

Her tongue may say she doesn't seek love but her eyes, do want to be charmed by someone, anyone good enough, or at least that is my opinion.

You know I cannot help but think, She reminds me of myself when I first married George, when we barely had anything between us and I was desperate for love." Charlotte replied.

"So you want me to find her a husband amongst the Tons?" Agatha asked, "Preferably, Yes...however I sense she doesn't care for a man's origins or money as most ladies of her caliber do.

So a good trustworthy uncorrupted gentleman, should be enough.

She has a thing for science as you can see, so maybe an aspiring man of science would charm her easily." Charlotte replied.

"I have never imagined you to be this soft my queen, I doubt Lady Vega getting married would benefit you greatly." Agatha said chuckling, "Believe me, even I, I'm surprised of myself..." Charlotte replied.

"Well then." Agatha said standing-up with the help of her cane, "I shall immediately start working on my mission, worry not I shall find her the right match, sooner rather than later, Lady Safa Vega would be a happy wife going on her honeymoon." She added with a smile.

Smiling back, "Thank you, I know I can count on you....By the way, do consider visiting Safa at her residency as soon as possible, she deserves an apology from you, after what you did today.

I suggest you bring her a book as a Peace offering, she is an avid reader, or maybe a dog, she has been smiling at mine the whole time." Charlotte suggested while caressing the sleeping pet in her lap.

"Duly noted my queen." Agatha replied before she excused herself as well.

...Meanwhile...

Riding inside her carriage, Lady Vega or Safa, was sitting across from someone, her manservant, a well-built Dirty Blonde haired clean shaven man with hazel eyes, named Wolfgang.

"My lady..."

"If you say 'My lady' one more time, I will kick you out of this carriage."

"I'm Sorry, Safa."

"Much better, what do you want Wolfgang?"

"I was thinking...why would you be visiting Lord Teaton again today? You already saw him yesterday."

"Why are you bothered?"

"I noticed that you two have been seeing each other a lot as of recently? Not to mention how late at night we left his home yesterday.

What if anyone saw you, an unmarried woman coming out of an eligible bachelor's home at the dead of night!"

Rolling her eyes, "Oh please, no one but us would be alive at such hour!" She replied.

"Safa dear I'm worried because you always leave me waiting for you downstairs while you go upstairs with him." Wolfgang asked.

With a big smirk, "I am not sleeping with your prince charming worry not! Gingers are not my type." Safa replied making Wolfgang blush immediately.

"My lady! I mean Safa!..."

"What?!"

"He isn't my prince charming and I'm not saying you are... sleeping with him, I'm just...well."

"Jealous?"

"God no!"

"Oh please, you want that man inside your pants desperately." Safa said bluntly.

"SAFA!" Wolfgang shouted in disbelief, "Do not scream at me I feel like hell today! Lady Danbury just crashed my meeting with the queen, I want to choke the life out of someone so do not let it be you!" Safa replied.

Surprised, "THE Lady Danbury! How is she like?" Wolfgang asked.

"Curious are you not?...well she is more than what meets the eyes that is for sure." Safa replied sighing.

"I take it you did not like meeting her for the first time, although I don't understand, why avoid her in the first place? You never told me why?" Wolfgang asked, "I...heard she's a good matchmaker." Safa replied nervously.

Dumbfounded, "HUH? Don't tell me you avoided that woman because you were afraid she would find you a husband? Unless she has a reason to or want to help you, I doubt Lady Danbury would just decide out of nowhere to get you a man!" Wolfgang said.

"I do not want or need a husband so I was not even willing the take the risk of meeting her! I tell you that woman is cursed!

I am perfectly fine as a single woman! That is why I avoided the social scene! I do not want anyone to take interest in me!" Safa angrily replied.

"You do realize saying no to potential suitors is an option! you don't have to hide yourself! You're an amazing fun woman! Go dance and make friendships with other women!"

"Wolfgang! Why do I need girlfriends when I have you!"

"One! I'm not a woman! And two! i may not be interested in women but I'm still a man and our relationship although platonic, is frowned upon.

You'll be putting your name in Jeopardy if more people knew that your only friends are two men and one of them is your manservant!

I can't believe you've been telling the queen, that you are friends with two gentlemen!" Wolfgang stated with a deep frown.

"I am not from this country nor I wish to be one of them! I simply live here because I enjoy it, I am a self-made woman, almost...Considering I have inherited my fortune after my family perished...however once I finish my research and make my products ready for consumption, I will be sitting on an even bigger Fortune than the one I currently sit upon!

A woman like me does not need a husband, what I need is a pet, the animal kind." Safa replied.

"I take it that you like the queen's dog? I thought you disliked dogs?"

"Well, big dogs...small ones seem harmless, I would also like a cat, but would the cat and dog get along?"

"They probably won't...unless we bring them fresh out the womb, maybe being raised together would help them get along."

"Hmmm, I wonder what That idiot James is doing right now." Safa said sniggering, "I bet lord Teaton is with some woman right now, he was yesterday when we visited him." Wolfgang replied with a hint of jealousy.

Catching that hint, Safa chuckled again, "I do not see why you like the man, he is a no good womanizer, Do not let your heart break over the fact that he does not fancy you back, Wolfie." She said.

"We are both men, so I never expected anything to happen, even if he were to love me, we cannot hold hands and walk down the street together like a man and woman would, you are the only person I know whom doesn't judge me for my sexuality, I know most people would want me dead simply for loving another man.

I already gave-up on the possibility that I'll be a romantically happy man, so I'll just live life as your friend and servant." Wolfgang replied smiling at his female companion.

Smiling back, "Yes! That's what I would like to hear, just two single best friends living together and becoming rich." Safa said, "Make that Three, because while he may be into woman, Lord Teaton cannot be only into the same woman, I bet you he Will remain unmarried and possibly end-up raising an illegitimate child." Wolfgang replied making Safa laugh.

"Haha! If he can hear what you said, I doubt he will be grateful!"

"Don't tell him I said that!"

"Of course not! It is only fair since I do not tell you when he talks ill about you " She slyly said.

Surprised, "He speaks badly of me?!" Wolfgang asked, "What did he say?" He added.

"Like I would tell you!" Safa replied with a grin, "Oh please I beg of you! Don't leave me in the dark! What have I done that warrant him to speak badly of me!" Wolfgang questioned.

"Wouldn't you like to know." Safa said sniggering.
