Chapter 206 Emperor Star Arrives? The Chinese Are Ruling The Premier League!

In the Liverpool vs. Chelsea game, the disparity between the two teams was evident in the first half.

Had it been Liverpool's 2019 squad, they might have been able to challenge Chelsea more effectively. However, their current form made it clear they were struggling.

In the second half, Liverpool pushed aggressively, hoping to disrupt Chelsea's defense with high pressure. But Chelsea grew more confident with each passing minute. Their defense was smooth and effective, and they soon broke through Liverpool's barriers.

In the 59th minute, Su Luo delivered a stunning curved pass during a counterattack, slicing through Liverpool's defense. Ajar sprinted down the left flank, received the ball, and entered the penalty area. He deftly passed Matip and scored from a tight angle!

The score was now 4:1!

Chelsea was on the brink of sealing the victory. With half an hour left in the game, fans in the Anfield stands began leaving early, unable to bear watching their team's home humiliation.

Klopp made two substitutions: Origi replaced the ineffective Sturridge, and Coutinho, who had been underperforming, was substituted for veteran Lucas. Coutinho had been rumored to be a target for Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain over the summer, but he remained at Liverpool. However, he had not lived up to his reputation this season.

These substitutions seemed to signal Liverpool's surrender. They stopped pressing high and their intensity waned.

Conte responded by substituting three key players: Kante, Ajar, and Su Luo. Both Kante and Su Luo had been crucial in securing points for the team in recent matches.

The match ended with Liverpool's early collapse. The final score remained 1:4, and Liverpool faced a crushing defeat at Anfield. Arnold, the young player who had boasted before the game, returned to the locker room with a gloomy face.

Su Luo, with two goals and two assists, continued to impress with his performance. The media, which had previously criticized him for struggling to adapt to the Premier League, now praised him enthusiastically.

"Over 2 goals per game! The Premier League star has conquered Anfield!"

"The Unstoppable Blues! Su Luo leads his team to five consecutive victories!"

"The Premier League enters the 'Chinese Era' with the King of Stamford Bridge."

In just five games, Su Luo had led Chelsea to five consecutive victories, scoring 12 goals and providing 7 assists. No one could argue that he wasn't suited for the Premier League.

Klopp commented after the game, "Su Luo's performance was still as formidable as it was in the Bundesliga. We did try to defend against him, but he still exploited our weaknesses. Our team was overall sluggish, and I hope this game serves as a wake-up call. We'll be better prepared next time."

By the end of the fifth round of the Premier League, Manchester United suffered an unexpected 3:1 defeat to Watford, while Manchester City maintained their winning streak with a 4-0 victory over Bournemouth.

The top teams in the Premier League were Chelsea and Manchester City, both strong contenders for the title this season. The entire league seemed to be turning blue.

Chelsea's upcoming fixtures included matches against Arsenal, the defending champion Leicester City, and Manchester United, each a significant challenge. The next few games would be crucial in determining the title race.

Four days later, in the third round of the League Cup, Chelsea's second-string squad easily defeated Leicester City 2-0, advancing to the next round. Su Luo was not needed for this match, with Fabregas and Pedro leading the victory.

Leicester City, struggling with a thin squad due to their Champions League commitments, had little interest in the League Cup and had essentially given up on it from the start.

Chelsea's depth in the squad gave them an advantage, and Conte was determined not to abandon any competition easily. From the start of the season, the coaching staff had agreed to fight for every trophy.

In the fourth round of the League Cup, Chelsea would face West Ham. Advancing to the top 8 seemed likely, but Chelsea couldn't afford to be complacent.

Next up were a series of demanding fixtures: the 6th round of the Premier League against Hull City, a Champions League group match against Monaco, and a weekend clash at the Emirates Stadium against Arsenal.

Three games in nine days would test the team's stamina. Fortunately, Su Luo's exceptional recovery abilities meant he could bounce back quickly and lead the team with peak performance.

In the 6th round of the Premier League, at Stamford Bridge, Su Luo continued to play a pivotal role for Chelsea.

Hull City came with a defensive strategy, setting up an impenetrable formation to stifle Chelsea's attack. Their tight defense made it difficult for Chelsea to find their rhythm, and both Ajar and Willian were heavily restricted on the wings, making it challenging to deliver quality crosses. The match saw both teams stretched, with Hull City's defense pulling far back, creating numerous opportunities for Chelsea outside the penalty area.

Hull City seemed to have decided on a strategy: if Su Luo was known for his long-range shots, they would force him to prove it. If he couldn't score, they hoped to capitalize on counterattacks.

Mike Phelan, Hull City's manager, was taking a gamble. With his background as Sir Alex Ferguson's assistant, he knew tactics, but he might not have anticipated the impact of Su Luo's prowess.

In the first 20 minutes, Su Luo took four long shots. Though none found the net, each attempt posed a growing threat.

"As Hull City's defense remains steadfast, Chelsea has been attempting long-range shots to break through. They've taken nine shots so far, with only two headers and the rest being long-range efforts," Zhan Jun remarked.

Among these, Su Luo took four shots, hitting the target twice. Ajar, Kante, and Matic each had a go, testing the goalkeeper.

"Hull City's defense remains resolute, and they're looking to strike back with counterattacks. Phelan's tactics seemed to be holding up… wait! The ball!"

As Zhan Jun commented on Hull City's defense, Su Luo, positioned 30 meters from the goal, took a powerful shot through the defense. The ball sliced through Hull City's defenders and found the back of the net.

"Su Luo's stunning goal! Chelsea breaks Hull City's defensive wall before halftime!"

Even the crowd was initially stunned by the goal. Slow-motion replays revealed the remarkable accuracy of Su Luo's shot. His strike, a perfectly executed ground shot, threaded through the legs of three defenders and into the lower corner, leaving the goalkeeper with no chance.

Hull City's coach, Phelan, was left stunned by Su Luo's brilliance.

In the second half, Su Luo provided an assist from the wing, setting up Lukaku for a header that doubled Chelsea's lead.

Chelsea won 2-0 against Hull City and maintained their lead at the top of the Premier League standings. With six consecutive victories, Chelsea was also preparing for their Champions League campaign.

Su Luo and Kante continued to be key players, while other teammates were rotated. Cesc Fabregas was given the chance to partner with Su Luo.

In their Champions League match against Monaco, Su Luo had been eager to see Director Mu's performance. Unfortunately, Director Mu was injured and couldn't play, and wasn't included in the Monaco squad.

Without Mu, Su Luo focused on his game and showcased his skills early. In the 16th minute, he executed a brilliant solo run from 60 meters, dribbling past four defenders and scoring a stunning goal.

"1-0! Su Luo's solo effort ignites Stamford Bridge!"

With his enhanced passing skills, Su Luo set up Pedro for a goal, making it 2-0.

"Passing is definitely more enjoyable," Su Luo thought, reflecting on the ease of his recent assist.

Before halftime, after Kante stole the ball, Fabregas delivered a precise pass to Su Luo, who fired a powerful shot into the Monaco goal, making it 3-0.

In the second half, in the 55th minute, Su Luo scored again, this time with a header from a corner kick.

"Su Luo's hat-trick in the Champions League!"

With a comfortable lead, Su Luo was substituted early to rest for the upcoming away game against Arsenal. Fabregas later assisted Moses in scoring, and Chelsea secured a 5-0 victory over Monaco.

The group stage of this year's Champions League was less challenging compared to the previous season. Chelsea easily progressed, and the media eagerly awaited more thrilling knockout stage matches.

After the win over Monaco, Chelsea stayed in London to rest and prepare for the next game, with Arsenal looming on the horizon. The intense schedule posed a significant physical challenge, and Su Luo was about to experience the rigors of a busy Christmas period without a winter break.

Meanwhile, Arsenal's preparation was marked by a tense atmosphere, as they braced for the upcoming clash.
