Ethan narrowed his eyes as he processed Lilith's words.
"Never return? Why?"
Lilith paused, as if weighing how much to reveal.
"It's a place where dark energy is so dense that every creature in the underworld would desire it. But for millennia, no one who has entered has ever returned to tell what lies within. Gods and demons have led campaigns to invade that place, yet none have returned."
Ethan frowned, feeling a slight chill run down his spine.
"If that's the case, how did this little creature manage to leave that place?"
"Perhaps it only lives on the outskirts," Lilith replied. "After all, from her description, it matches records we have. But if it's not that place, I can't think of another location that fits."
Ethan sighed.
"And how did she get there in the first place?"
Lilith looked at him with a mix of admiration and concern.
