A Bad Omen

Ethan watched the bowl attentively, its structure pulsing with a blinding intensity at a steady rhythm. The shadows around him rose like massive tentacles, moving swiftly to envelop the artifact. However, as soon as they touched the light emanating from the bowl, they disintegrated instantly.

Ethan frowned. This phenomenon was not something he had expected. Even Ra, with all his power, had not been able to destroy his shadows.

"This isn't right…" he murmured to himself, a knot forming in his stomach.

The bowl glowed with a power far beyond anything Ethan had faced before. The pulses from the structure grew stronger, as if the artifact was channeling a primal force beyond his reach.

Wasting no time, Ethan turned to Anuket, his voice firm but laced with urgency.

"Anuket, you have to leave now!"

Anuket looked at him, her eyes showing a mixture of doubt and determination.

"What will you do?" she asked, though she already knew the answer.
