chapter 8

Jason sent Daisy to the entrance of the hospital. Daisy said goodbye to him. After taking a step forward, she turned around and said, "Doctor Jason, please keep my condition a secret from my parents."

Jason was stunned for a moment, and then said, "Madam, don't worry."

After all these instructions, Daisy left the hospital with peace of mind. It's not that she doesn't want to tell her parents, but she really doesn't want to see her parents look as haggard as they did in their previous life.

Her mother and father were originally optimistic and cheerful people, but in their previous life, their hair turned gray because of her illness.

Since there is a possibility of her condition getting better in this life, she doesn't want to let this matter bother them anymore.

In the presidential suite of a five-star hotel on the other side of the ocean, it was quiet and peaceful. Adam was fast asleep on the big bed in the bedroom.

But for some unknown reason, the person who was sleeping soundly on the bed suddenly frowned, and a fine layer of crystal sweat oozed out on his forehead.

The next second, Adam opened his eyes suddenly and sat up from the bed, breathing heavily.

Adam saw darkness as soon as he opened his eyes. He held his forehead with one hand and tried to calm down his emotions.

He remembered that he had not turned off the bedside lamp when he went to bed last night.

It should be said that since Daisy passed away, it had been too long since he had slept with the lights off.

Adam turned on the bedside lamp out of habit but found nothing when he touched it.

The light is out?

Adam became confused, and he no longer persisted in turning on the light, but instead touched the mobile phone he placed next to the pillow.

He kept his cell phone next to his pillow all year round, and he finally found it.

Press lightly with your finger to light up the screen.

Three o'clock in the morning.

Adam's eyes moved downwards, and just below the huge time, it was clearly marked "July 13th".

July? He clearly remembered that yesterday was the winter solstice, and he even went home to have dinner with his parents!

Adam became increasingly uneasy, and then clicked on the calendar again.

2020, July 3.

More than three years ago?

Adam couldn't believe it. He put down his phone and began to look at the place he was in with his eyes that had barely adapted to the darkness.

Looking around, Adam was sure that this was definitely not his bedroom, but he also felt a little familiar.

Adam got out of bed and used the flashlight on his mobile phone to find the light switch in the room. The next second, the whole room became completely bright.

After turning on the light, Adam understood that this was probably a hotel.

More than three years ago, he remembers that it was not long after he took up the company. July also happens to be the time when a major project of the company starts overseas.

To this day, he can still clearly remember some details of that project.

Adam held his cell phone and pushed open the bedroom door and walked out. He remembered that when he stayed in a hotel, he would have an office space outside the bedroom, where all the information he needed was stored.

Adam walked all the way outside the bedroom, and the desk outside appeared directly in front of his. He walked forward, picked up a file, and opened it. As expected, the name of the previous project appeared on it.

He really went back more than three years ago.

Adam sat down on the chair in a daze, his thoughts in his head were in a mess. It's not like he hasn't heard of words like time travel, but he doesn't know why this kind of thing happened to him.

But…

If he goes back more than three years now, does that mean Daisy is not dead yet?

When he thought of this possibility, Adam's heart felt as if it was tightly grasped by a hand, and he was breathless. Even the hand he was holding on the phone began to tremble slightly.

He couldn't wait to open his phone and prepare to contact Daisy, but when he was about to make the call, he miraculously paused.

He inexplicably remembered the scene he saw when he went to the hospital, the grieving parents, the calm medical staff, and Daisy lying on the hospital bed as if sleeping peacefully.

The warm blood that surged all over Adam's body seemed to have been doused by a stream of cold water. After being stunned for a while, he gradually returned to his usual cold and inhuman appearance.

Adam leaned back in his seat and was stunned for a while, then he began to look through all his social software in silence.

However, when he saw the chat history between himself and Nyla, his expressionless face finally stirred up a wave of emotion.

Full physical examination.
