Come On Out

In the world of magic, such sacrifices were not uncommon. The path to power was paved with the bones of those who had pushed too far, too fast. But for every Mage who fell, another rose to take their place, driven by the promise of untold power and the ability to shape reality itself.

Starforge didn't even bother to raise his guard. With a lazy flick of his wrist, he pointed his staff forward. The tip began to glow, a searing light that quickly intensified to rival the sun itself. Waves of Fire Mana poured forth, swirling and condensing into a roiling, flame-wreathed cloud.

For a heartbeat, the fiery construct simply hovered there, its aura pulsing outward to suppress the Lunar Moon's oppressive atmosphere. 

The two forces clashed invisibly, sending ripples of distortion through the air. Then, with a sound like the world itself shattering, the cloud imploded.
