Chapter 3: Meeting Maria
Chapter 3: The A.I-Seru is almost completed
"..." Isidore is speechless at the A.I—Seru Respond
"Maybe I need to fix her code, while I'm at it I could make a background story for her and let her tell it to the viewer" Isidore exclaim, she already had a image of her being famous despite it being a long way to go
"The first step is making this A.I to be able to interact with the viewer!" She exclaim, she leaned backward against her chair as a cracking sounded out from her spine, which made her hum in satisfaction
She put her hand on her chin and began to think 'Let's see, maybe adding a personality would be interesting' Isidore thought
'I think The A.I should have a function that could recognise comments, like which one is a comments and which one is just a emoji or which one is my comment' She thought about it and wrote it on her note just in case she forgot about it
'There is also the movement of the A.I Model, I notice that the A.I doesn't seem to know how to move the model, it just stood there and does nothing' She thought
'Buying this cute model is wasn't a waste right?' She thought, worried that her money were spent on useless thing, even though she already brought the characters model
'I guess the A.I need some time to learn, how do I make it learn to control, the model? With Simulation of course! Or is it virtual simulation? Ahh! I'm forgetting it again!' She Open her inventory and pull out [All Knowledge Book]
She open one page at a time and began reading it again,
"Page 123! The A.I Function!" Isidore exclaim and began reading the instructions of how to create a A.I and make it interactable
'Noo not this one, maybe its in page 145' She thought and flipped pass the other page without bothering to read it
'How to make the A.I control the Vtuber Model' She read the Title in her mind
'First step, open the model file and the A.I file' she thought and did as the book told her to do
'Second step, review the file and—

{ Tomorrow Morning }
*Thud*
Isidore hit her head against the desk, thankfully she didn't hit the laptop or else it might have broke
"Ahh!~ this is taking forever!" She complained,
She never would have thought that programming a simple things was harder then she imagine, such as how to make the A.I control the Vtuber Model and How to have the A.I stick to their Background Story and also how to make a A.I feel like you are having a Conversation with a Human, there is more but she won't get into details
Isidore only manage to make the A.I—Seru behave in a human like manner in the way it speak but she doesn't know how to make the A.I—Seru control the Characters model without it vanishing in thin air!
"Now I know what Tarvin had felt when he was analysing the alien spaceship" Isidore exclaim with sympathy towards his future friend Tarvin
*ring* *Ring* *RIIIINNNNGGGGG*
"Shut up!" Isidore shouted and slam the alarm clock,
The alarm clock turn off as silent cover the entire room, making one feel lonely or at peace
Isidore groggily stood up from her chair, she didn't turn off her laptop since the A.I is still learning on how to control the Vtuber Model
'Did I buy the groceries last night?' She thought to herself,
She isn't planning to go to school for the time being, she had bribe them with money, the teacher wouldn't care about her anyways since her grade were high and couple with the bribe money she give to each of them, the teacher would probably encourage her to do it more often
"The things they do for money" She exclaim
She open her fridge and saw....Nothing, there was nothing literally
"..." -Isidore
"I should have expected this" she said to herself
She walked to her bathroom, and took a shower, she changer her clothes and prepare to go to the nearest mall
"I remember there is a 50% Sales going on currently" She exclaim
She walked outside her house and locked her door, her house key is inside her inventory so she didn't have to worry about it being stolen or lost
'Can the System Inventory store my entire house?' She thought
[Yes]
The system responded
'Good to know!' She thought and walked towards the mall
The sun could be seen raising, the sky were orange and the wind blow against her face
Isidore eyes shine with blue light, making everyone mesmerise by her beautiful eyes
'It's been one week and five days since I travel back in my teenage self ' she thought to herself and embrace the light from the sun, with a satisfied smile
'Soon or maybe sooner, the alien would invade this world' -Isidore
'With this system, and the memories from the future, I will stop the alien, without them being able to touch the atmosphere!' She declared inside her mind, with a determined expression
*Bump*
"Ah!" A childish female voice could be heard as she felt something bump into her
"?" Confuse Isidore turns around and saw a girl on the ground as if she hit something that made her fall down
The girl had long Black hair and dark brown eyes, she wore a white school uniform with the skirt being dark blue
'Maria?' Isidore thought, this girl looks a lot like Maria but younger
"Are you alright" Isidore asked the girl on the ground
The girl stood up and bowed in front of Isidore "I..I'm fine! Sorry for bumping into you" The girl apologies,
"It's alright, may I know your name?" Isidore bluntly asked
"I'm Maria, just maria " The girl now name Maria replied to her
Isidore showed a friendly smile at her, "your cute, wanna be friend?" Isidore said,
"Friend? You want to become friend with me?" Maria questioned, her tone showed a hint of caution
Why is this strange girl, I bumped into want to be friends with me? That was what Maria had thought
"I'm Isidore Lauren, a new student at High Wycombe academy, I'm in class 1-A," Isidore introduce herself,
Maria nodded in understanding "nice to meet you, like I said, I'm Maria, just Maria" Maria replied
Isidore pointed her two finger towards Maria badge on her chest "Your also a student at high Wycombe academy right?" Isidore exclaim
"Mhm" Maria nodded at her word with a hum
"Maria, May I ask you for a favor?" Isidore bluntly said
Maria raise one of her eyebrow, "what is it?" Maria asked,
"I been working on a project, but It keep bugging out" Isidore explained
Maria cross her arm "What kind of project are you working on?" Maria questioned
"It's this A.I project, my dream is to create a A.I that could entertain the audience in VideoTube" Isidore answered with a white lied
"A.I!! You mean Artificial Intelligence!?" Maria shouted in surprise,
Isidore nodded "Yes that's what I meant"
"Could you show me, what you made?" Maria asked with excitement,
I meant who wouldn't? Artificial Intelligence in this world are rare and hard to develop, so no one was willing to delves deeper into the A.I Technology
Those A.I could only send text and manage simple stuff, like turning on a light switch but not being able to turn it off or making phone calls but not being able to end the call and many more
"It's in my house, but aren't you gonna go to school first?" Isidore asked, its been 20 minutes since they started talking,
Hearing Isidore reminder, Maria raise her left hand to see the time on her watch
Maria face darken when she saw the time "*sigh* I'm already too late" Maria replied with a sigh
Isidore leaned forward to see the time on her watch
<7:42>
"Looks like the school gate is close" Isidore exclaim,
The school entrance gate would close when the time hit 7:40, Maria can't enter the school anymore since the entrance gate is close
Maria put down her bag on the ground, she open the zipper and pull out a book and a pen
She tear the book paper and wrote something on the paper with her pen, after she finish writing whatever it was, she stood up and extended her right hand towards Isidore, her extended hand had the paper with a written number on it
"Here is my contact number, now tell me your contact number" Maria exclaim
Isidore grabbed the paper on Maria right hand and put it in her pocket(Inventory)
"Could I borrow your paper and pen to write it?" Isidore requested politely
Maria nodded with a satisfied smile, she handed Isidore the paper that has been tore by her along with her pen
Isidore grabbed both the pen and paper "Thank you" Isidore politely thanked her,
Maria nodded in respond
Isidore seat down and wrote her contact number on the paper, after she finish writing it, Isidore stood up and extended her right hand towards Maria,
Maria grabbed the paper on Isidore extended hand
"I'm going to change my school uniform, I will call you later" Maria exclaim
"I see you later" Isidore replied
Maria nodded in respond, she walked away from her and headed towards a certain direction

Isidore watch her leave with no intention of stopping her
'Did I do it right? This is the first time, I take the opportunity to make friend' Isidore thought, she doesn't know how to make friends, usually they would followed her because of her confident aura or something along those line
*Growl*
Her stomach growl in hunger,
*sigh* 'Time to buy the groceries' Isidore exclaim in her mind, she had almost forgotten about the groceries, if it wasn't for her stomach rumbling she might have forgotten about it

{Five hours later}
{Inside Isidore house}
Isidore is currently talking with Maria inside her room
Her Laptop is wide open and it showed The A.I—Seru characters model, Seru had long yellow hair style in a twin tailed, her eyes were crimson red like ruby and she wore a white dress with a red bow on her neck
Seru characters move from side to side, her hair swag and her body bounce, but all that change when Seru character suddenly started to glitch which resulted in her character vanishing in thin air
Isidore was helpless, she didn't know what caused this to happen, Isidore quickly open the code and check if there was somethings wrong or missing in the code
Maria raise her pointer finger and pointed at a green code "This one is the problem here" Maria exclaim much to Isidore confuse gazes
"Why is this the problem?" Isidore asked, this green code is responsible for connecting the A.I—Seru to the characters module so why is it the problem?
"That's the problem, this code has to be saperated from the rest of the code or else the character module would bug out and vanish" Maria exclaim, Isidore nodded at her word and waited for her to explain it in more detailed
"In the background, the facial recognition didn't detect any facial expressions in the camera sensor and instead, it detected the A.I controlling the model, which made it automatically activate the A.I system, " Maria pause for a few second, to see her reaction
Isidore was in deep thought when she heard the A.I system from Maria's mouth
"and as a result, it warned the main system about the A.I action, and this cause it to think that a intruder had invaded your laptop, which made the main system want to delete the characters model, which made it disappeared or vanish from the screen as a result" Maria explained what she know
Isidore nodded with understanding "I see.. the code needs to be saperated from the rest of the code huh? Maybe adding this line of code in the script should fix it" Isidore began to type on the laptop, she is only testing her idea to see if it work, if it didn't she might as well read [Knowledge of all Technology Book] again to see if she had miss any small detailed
Maria watch from the sideline, honestly she was surprise to see the A.I-Seru being able to talk in such a human like manner, she would have never expected to witness the developments of A.I in her lifetime
If it wasn't for Isidore showing her the code of the A.I—Seru, she might have never believed that Seru is a A.I in the first place, while Maria was in deep thought, Isidore had already finish typing the code, sheclicked enter and let the A.I—Seru control the Characters model
Seru character move from side to side, sometime goes up and down or move around in a circle, Seru facial expression didn't change much, the physic of the characters model is still working like always, and the eye tracking also work, since it moved around,
Maria stare at Seru with a smile on her face, "Isidore, I think something is missing" Maria bluntly exclaim, even though the A.I is good but she felt like something is missing
Isidore nodded in understanding, "Yes and I know what is missing" Isidore replied, she stretched her fingers and prepared typing on the laptop keyboard
After a few minutes, Isidore decided to test the code to see if it work as she had intended it to work, Maria lean towards the screen to take a closer look
The A.i—Seru characters is moving around like a curious kid that found themselves in a new world, then something unexpected happen, Seru expression change into a cheerful smile, there were even stars in her eyes with several star sparkling around her as a special affect it seem to convey the joy it felt
Isidore smile at that "The code seem to be working" Isidore exclaim, as she stare at the A.I—Seru making various facial expression
The A.I—Seru frown then change to a angry look and then to a lustful expression
Maria agreed with her words "Yup, so what are you gonna do now?" Maria questioned, she had helped her develop the A.I but she still doesn't know what Isidore is going to do after it's done
"The first part is done, now we need to finish the second part" Isidore explained, indicating that the A.I is still incomplete and not finish
Maria was dumbfounded at her word, "what do you mean the second part!? Isn't the A.I already perfect enough?! " Maria questioned her with a loud tone,
Maria doesn't understand, Seru is able to perfectly control the vtuber model and it could even speak in human language, what else could you add!?
"The second part is..the A.I personality and a backstory for the A.I" Isidore explained the second part to Maria
Maria stare at her, her eyes were filled with visible confusion, "what do you mean the A.I personality? And why are we making a backstory for the A.I?" Maria asked with a imaginary question mark above her head
"I tell you the reason later" Isidore didn't explain why, she stretched her fingers while leaning her body against her chair, a crack sounded out from her spine and fingers, this made Isidore hum in satisfaction
Isidore leaned forward and began to prepare to type the A.I—Seru personality and backstory
"*sigh* alright, could I have double the payment?" Maria asked Isidore about the payment she would receive
Maria had requested to be payed if Isidore were to need her help, Isidore of course didn't mind, she already know that Maria is a poor and greedy girl so it's reasonable for her to ask for payment
They had been typing and talking for 8 hours already, if Maria were to look outside the window she would see that, the Sun was already gone and was replace by the bright moon
"Maria, did you know that the Moon is actually just reflecting the sun light into our eyes?" Isidore suddenly spoke out of nowhere
Maria just nodded in respond, they continue making adjustments for the A.I—Seru, they were putting in what The A.I—Seru Like and Dislike, while making her personality complex like a human,
Isidore is responsible for coding The A.I—Seru to act accordingly while Maria is responsible for making the A.I—Seru Personality and backstory, its totally not because Isidore is lazy to think of a backstory no no no its totally not because of that
"Maybe making her afraid of spider would make her relatable" Maria exclaim beside Isidore
Isidore Nodded in agreement, she type on the laptop keyboard and wrote the word 'She is afraid of Spider' with that done she pressed enter.
