Chapter 35 A Devils Duty!

Slap! After Momo and I made love, my sleep was really good. So I wake-up with a bit of pep in my step. Plus letting my body get some of the Underworld air in me was good for my Demonic Power.

     I go for my morning run to get my blood pumping and think about the upcoming Sport Festival. Aika screwed me and put me in the bread-eating contest. Yeah, I am going to just eat one slice of bread and fake-pass-out, he-he!

     Blue was a good boy and delivered all of my contract sheets all weekend, so tonight I can start my Devil Duties. He has been practicing my Human form while delivering on a bike. So curious how a familiar can take your place in school while they cannot normally talk?

     Well thanks to the master-servant-bond, the familiar can gain surface knowledge of its master when it's using the shapeshifting granted from Devil Magic. This gives them basic information as well as language.

     They are in no way true clones of you and only have the shape of you. The actual strength of the Human copy is that of the familiar. So Blue till he gets bigger is just as strong as me pre-awakening. If danger hits he can still use his lightning and that's really it, maybe weak fist fighting.

     While I was running through the park, I heard a sound I had wanted to hear for a while.

     Woof! Woof! A massive big-brown-mastiff-puppy came running around the corner barrelling towards me, but with my Devil body, I didn't fear the impact and caught the little troublemaker. Mofu Mofu!

     "Damn it, Precious, where did you go?! Sigh, Why did you run?"

     Kalawarna, wearing pink running sweats, just froze with her yellow-eyes wide open in surprise seeing me smiling at her while petting her dog.

     "I am glad you're safe, Kala. I missed your company."

     Hearing my kind words she composed herself, and made sure her hair was out of her face.

     "I am not allowed to be here with you, and am on standby to watch you, sorry."

     While giving Precious her belly rub, I say to Kalawarna.

     "Yeah, but Azazel is trying to keep you safe because we are temporarily on opposing sides. Tell him I said thanks, but if he could bend the rules a little, this could maybe help relations between the two factions."

     "No, if you're caught spending time with me, you will be in trouble with the Devil's side, they don't like traitors."

     I think about it and she is right. Although Sona would look the other way, I doubt the ArchDuke would let me off.

     Kalawarna got the leash and made Precious come with her, then she said as she started to walk slowly away.

     After she left I held my heart and felt myfeelings.

     Just after I ran home, a tall man with a smile on his face walked out from the woods, wearing a men's Yukata. It was the Governor General looking at where I left.

     "Wow, came to look in on Baraqiel's daughter and I stumbled upon a real life Romeo and Juliet?! The Red One is more interesting than I thought, ha-ha, well lets see what is in store for you love birds in the future. Shemhaza will know he is not alone, welp let's find Akeno... Whistle~♪"

     As I got ready for school, I ate breakfast with my parents and told them of my time with Momo's family.

     "Yeah her best friend Yura, who is my martial arts master's daughter, came with us too, and it was a lot of fun. I think they will be coming over sometimes, especially since I will join the Student Council in April."

     My mother asked about Yura.

     "She was your first female friend, right Moto?"

     "Yeah, she is like a female best friend and I would say we love each other like sister and brother, maybe?"

     My father sensing legitimate red-flags in my words reminds me.

     "Son, please remember your real girlfriend is Momo, my boss's only daughter, so don't neglect her heart, or else."

     Translation: I don't care what you do but don't get me fired bastard!

     "Relax dad, Momo and I are very serious. I am sure you will call her daughter in the future. Oh and Sports Day is on Friday, but I won't be doing anything good so you can skip it."

     "No we have to go, Momo's family will be there to support her, so if we don't show how would that look?"

     My mother asked.

     "I said I have to get a better event then! Bye mom and dad, I am off to work!"

     I met up with my two best friends Dumb and Dumber!

     "Hey Motohama, how was your weekend with Momo? Any relationship progress?"

     "No Mat, I am still a virgin, sigh."

     "Did you even get to Momoboat her? Are her tits the tops?!"

     Then we go to class.

     I approach the class monitor Aika Kiryuu and ask.

     "Hey, Kiryuu, can I trade bread eating for something a bit more impressive? Momo's family is coming and I think stuffing my face with bread might not be the right look?"

     "What's in it for me?"

     "I will give you xxxx¥ so you can buy Cosplay if you give me something better."

     "Sure, he-he, you can take my spot and I will eat bread for that much."

     "Nice, thanks Kiryuu so what is your sport anyway?"

     Aika looked behind her to Murayama Mai, and said to her.

     "Murayama, sorry, I twisted my ankle over the weekend and I needed a sport that I won't have to run, so I traded with Motohama, please do the three legged race together."

     "Ewe, I have to run with Glasses-pervert, no I don't wanna! If he touches me I will get pervert on me, it's bad enough he peeps but now he will fondle."

     A white-haired-Angel came to our sides at that moment and took my arm with a smile that was not a smile.

     "Murayama right? Trust me when I say, he is not into you. So please do the event like a woman with pride. I will make sure Moto has all of his pervert rubbed off before he has to touch you, Ufufu."

     Wow! This is the first time I have seen Momo get jealous and hostile to another girl, and she seems dangerous, oh yeah, she is a Devil.

     "Ah! Sorry Momo I-"

     "Moto calls me Momo, you girls call me Hanakai, fufu, dear I will see you in the back."

     And Momo elegantly takes her seat in the back next to mine with a brilliant smile like she did not threaten anyone.

     "Your girlfriend is scary!"

     Yeah the second one was definitely Aika, she is a bit on the fence.

     "Look Murayama, I am not going to do anything with you. The peeping is a separate issue with reasons, so just work with me over the next few days alright?"

     "Fine, but I am bringing my wooden-sword just in-case, pervert."

      I secretly pass the Yen to Aika, and say to them both as I go to the back.

     "Thanks girls, see you later."

     The rest of the day was smooth and no problems.

     For this week clubs are canceled for students to practice for Friday. It's like a half festival and the school really has fun.

     After the first 15 minutes my new partner Murayama realized I was not being perverted and our team work was good, well I have a Devil body so no big deal. Even with the sun weakening me, I am still super strong so keeping up with the athletic Murayama was child's-play.

     "Night Mai, be safe walking home, Kuoh is dangerous at night."

     "Thanks Ryu, you're better than I thought you would be, see you tomorrow for practice."

     I took a shower and got changed, then met up with the peerage to walk to Sona's home.

     We had a meal, did homework, and readied the contracts for teleportation to clients. And as the sun went down it was time to do Devil work.

     As I was going to teleport to my first contract ever, Sona straightens my clothing like I am going to school on the first day. I gave her a kiss and she said.

     "Don't worry if you don't get a contract on your first try okay? Just be safe and don't do anything you're uncomfortable with, and... and... and..."

     After Sona listed off all kinds of things like escaping and not important things she realized she was nagging and blushed.

     "I will be fine dear, now see you later."

     I put my demonic-power to the preset flyer and I was covered in the light of Sitri then I saw my new surroundings.

     "What? Motohama Ryu, why are you here?"

     I see I am in the middle of a high-school girls room and it's a cute and sporty look with some ken-do gear in the corner of the room, but a girl I just saw at school is open mouthed holding my flyer so I smile and ask.

     "Murayama Mai, you summoned a Devil to have your wish granted, so I have come. What can I do for you Miss Mai?"

     "Wait, are you like Akeno Himejima?"

     "Yes, but in a different Devil House, so what is your wish?"

     "Can you prove you're a real Devil Motohama?"

     I let out my bat-wings for a moment then retract them.

     "Oh no! I have been beating a Devil all this time! You're not going to hurt me are you?"

     I smile at this nervous girl and tell her.

     "All those times we got caught and beat was me letting you know we were there. My two friends don't know I am a Devil and I like watching them get beat up by you girls, and you don't really hurt me anyway, so relax it's fun."

     "Oh, Okay, well my dad makes contracts with Akeno, so I know how this works, um, I called for help with homework, can you help?"

     "That's easy, I know all the subjects already so just tell me what you want, then we can talk about equal payment, cash, gems, art, or anything with value will do and I don't overcharge so lets start."

     "Yes, I am having trouble in English class and the homework is tough."

     So the two of us worked at her school work and I spoke to her in English correcting the things she struggled with and time flew by.

     A couple of hours later she had a big smile and was able to finally understand it, and thanked me, then she asked me.

     "Ryu, how should I treat you in school then?"

     "Hmm? Make rude pervert comments about me, glare, and beat me when I get caught peeping on you."

     "Ufufu, But that's what I always did? Are you sure, you're a lot nicer like this, so it's hard?"

     "No, I just want to lead a normal Highschool and University life as a human. There is enough troubles in the world and I want a nice slow life at school."

     "Sure, and here is your agreed upon payment. Mind if I call on you again?"

     "If you want to call me for anything just go ahead, I can make boys like you, do your homework, beat up boys you don't like, help with ken-do or anything like that, just call. See you at school tomorrow, Mai!"

     I then activate the reverse summoning to go back with the successful contract.

     Sona, like a worried mother, rushed over and I explained everything.

     She was surprised my very first contract was with a classmate, and she laughed at the odds of that.

     Then I still had more to do, and I went on my second contract run for the night.

     I did well and finished a total of 3 contracts on my first night!

     Well that's the Devil's duty, and I had fun all night!
