Chapter 41 Sona's Peerage is Complete!

After Supper we told the family that we needed to buy Kelly some living essentials, and the two of us left for Sona's for the welcoming party and our Devil work.

     Just like with Issei's parents in the canon story, Momo already put a spell on my parents to overlook me coming and going when it's nighttime. This is standard procedure for Reincarnated Devils for their Devil work.

     "I like your mom and dad, Motohama. It was a warm feeling to join in on a family gathering."

     "Yeah, and I can tell Precious likes to follow my mom around for snacks and entertainment. I am still feeling like I am dreaming and I hate it."

     Kala looks at me and asks.

     "Why would you hate it?"

     "Right before I met you, I almost died of a fever and had a long dream of a life different from the life I lead now, one where I was like my two friends, and it felt like it was years, then when I died in the dream, I woke up to my current reality."

     While driving, Kala took my hand with the hand not on the wheel, and I continued.

     "So I never want to die and find-out this was just an incredible dream. I want this to be my reality. I know it sounds strange but even my partner Ddraig witnessed it with me and he too hated that life. And I Want this joy to stay real. So I have to get strong to keep living it, kinda get what I mean? If I am dreaming I never want to awaken!"

     She tightened her grip and told me.

     "Well I can tell you for a fact, I am not dreaming so you are most definitely here with me now."

     I smile at her confidence and tell her my guess...

     "Ddraig and I think our dream was caused by the Great Red! We think he showed us a future in which his death was inevitable. So he let me see what not to do to bring unmatched evil to our world. Great Red is the Dragon of Dreams and is powerful. I think he used Ddraig as a channel for my dream to save his life."

     "Something can kill the Great Red?!"

     "No God in our world can match that strength, and their are suicidal bastards trying to end our world, so I need to kill them to save everything. I am telling you this because I trust you Kalawarna."

     (A/N Pink-Lines are not capable of betrayal unless he treats them poorly and turns them Black. He knows this from his Gaia memories.)

     Kala while still holding my hand says to me.

     "I won't let you die, so make me strong enough to fight with you. You're not allowed to leave, alright?!"

     "I will forever if I can. Also my long dream is one of the reasons I act older than my body is, so in-case you were curious about it."

     "No, I get it, your mental experience was accelerated due to the power of Great Red, but I guess I have always seen you as older as well. Ah, we are here now."

     The two of us get out in Sona's driveway and walk into the home.

     Clap clap clap clap! Sona, Tsubaki, Momo, Yura, Tomoe, and Reya are all clapping with warm smiles at Kala who is a bit surprised and smiles at the team.

     "I know we met before but thanks."

     Sona said to us.

     "Come on in and let's have cake to celebrate your arrival."

     So I am put on one couch with Sona on my left and Kala on my right, and the others around the small coffee table while we ate cake and talked.

     Reya asked Kala.

     "I was really surprised you were a Fallen Angel before and then turned into a Devil, that is so shocking! But I am glad you're on our team!"

     "Thank you Reya, yes I and Motohama met before he got involved with the supernatural by chance in a park one day. I had no idea he was the Red Dragon Emperor at the time. It is because of him that I joined."

     "I am just happy I have a real Knight to spar with now instead of cheating Motohama!"

     "Hey Tomoe, I 'resemble' that comment! Plus I just train harder than you. Also don't get happy too soon! Kalawarna, uses light-weapons so you're actually in more danger, he-he!"

     "Crud! You're right I did not think of that!"

     I say to everyone.

     "Actually on top of our sunbathing, Kala joining us is the best thing ever! Now we can control our light tempering with real light weapons and slowly gain resistance. Naturally we can not become immune, but we can at least avoid the extra pain and poisoning most Devil's take."

     Yura then said.

     "Sona, now you only need one Rook and our team is complete! That's amazing right?"

     Sona holds up her last Rook Piece and shakes her head.

     "No, Motohama has told me to wait till after the Youth Devil competition and we can meetsomeone perfect for this spot. But the Rook is in another faction like Kala was and won't take my offer till later. I trust my Dear on this one, so for now, our team is complete."

     I kiss Sona on the cheek for trusting me so much. Yeah she is so much better of a wife than Rias could have been. But both come with ticking time-bomb older siblings, sigh!

     Tsubaki asks Kalawarna.

     "While Motohama works on contracts tonight, can I teach you how to cast the basic Demonic Magics? This way you can form your familiar contract and do Devil work?"

     "Yes please, and I need to learn how to make the circle calling magic too, when smartphones are not viable."

     Sona also adds.

     "Most likely you have reincarnated with my water affinity, but we can look for your other types as well like Motohama is strongest in Ice."

     Momo pouted and said.

     "I am so jealous Kala! You get to move in with Moto! I want to live with Moto too."

     Kala innocently exposes Momo...

     "Don't you just use the Sitri teleportation-circle in his room to visit anyway? It has been used recently after-all."

     Sona, Tsubaki, and Yura all look at the blushing Momo and confirm the guilt in her expression. Then they looked at me and I shrugged.

     "She is only concerned that I won't wake up on time due to my lazy nature, right Momo?"

     "Ha, ha-ha, Yes that's right Moto, ha-ha?!"

     Sona just sighs, and then says.

     "Momo, just don't make things excessive, alright?"

     "No problem Sona, it is only three times a week now instead of everyday!"

     As I ran to the Summon Room, I heard the girls laughing at my escape trick!

     Elsewhere in Japan.....

     Urakyoto, the Back Alley...

     Inside Yasaka's palace sits a gorgeous woman with fox ears and nine flowing tails that are swishing in anticipation.

     Her hair and fur is a beautiful blonde color, with golden-yellow-eyes filled with excitement as she is reading a letter that came with a box.

     Kunou, her young daughter with the same colors as her mother, was sitting at her side trying to peek at the letter, but Yasaka blocked her face with her tail and her loving smile.

     "Kunou dear, let mother read fathers letter, okay? He is telling me grown up stuff, and you're too young for that knowledge, now be good or you wont get your present, okay?"

     "But what did he say about Kunou?"

     "Let me finish it first dear, Ufufu."

     While Yasaka was reading like a teenager in love, an older looking elder Youkai said.

     "Sigh, What a stupid brat he was."

     "Ufufu, He sent you a gift to elder! Here it is."

     "What?! He sent me something? Why?"

     Yasaka handed him a one foot long wooden box of high quality, and it was only two inches in height, but when he opened the lid he was surprised and laughed loudly!

     The elder held up a top-quality chef's-knife.

     "Ha-ha, What a good brat, he remembered my warning, I will cherish this token!"

     Yasaka handed Kunou a small box as well and said to her daughter.

     "Here is a gift for the big-sister. He said it's because he is the Red Dragon Emperor so it is a gift that shows his pride."

     Kunou opened the box and pulled out a Red Dragon necklace colored with small rubies and it was attached to a platinum-gold-chain perfect to match her blonde-hair.

     "Mother, Kunou loves it very much! Please put it on Kunou. And mother, why did you get two gifts and Kunou only got one?"

     After putting on the necklace on her daughter's neck, she kissed the top of her head and explained.

     "To protect your father from hostile Youkai, your mother had to trick your father into thinking I am another woman, but when he comes to meet Kunou, he will be strong enough to openly meet us. So your father sent two gifts, one for his wife and one for the Leader of the Youkai. Don't worry your father will pamper us when he gets here, I promise."

     "Yes, mother Kunou will wait patiently for father! But what did father get for you mother?"

     Yasaka then opens the gift for herself as the leader. It was a hair-ornament with Red Eastern Dragon Designs along its white-gold slender design.

     "This is very beautiful, Kunou please put it in mothers hair."

     While she did that for her mother, Yasaka opened the gift for Sakura. It was an Amethyst Encrusted heart-shaped-locket with a picture of Motohama and Sakura with a Selfie taken on their first night together.

     "Mother, is that father with you? He looks funny with those glasses, giggle."

     With tears in her eyes for the special gift, she playfully flicked her daughters forehead and said.

     "Your father needed them at the time, but now he wears them to remind himself of who he is. So don't tease him, okay, Ufufu, but it makes him look so cute."

     "Yes, mother Kunou will remember, he-he."

     "Kunou, please put this on for mother, thank you dear."

     And that's what took place in Kyoto this very night...

     Back in Kuoh, a certain 'father' was working as a bodyguard for a Yakuza boss in a regional meeting, and had the urge...

     "Achoo! Heh? Is someone talking about me?"

     The crime lord asked me.

     "Mr. Devil, are you alright?"

     "Yup, must have been dust in my nose, it's all good, so these gunmen in ice, they aren't dead so just break em out and do what you want with them."

     "Thanks for saving me Mr. Devil here is your payment, and take the tip, don't worry about the whole equal payment thing, this is just yen that I picked up off the ground, ha-ha!"

     "Sure Mr. Minamoto, just call when you need protection again, you have been a great client, see you later!"

     Then I used reverse summon and came back to the house as I had finished my work for the night.

     I see Tsubaki, Sona, and Kalawarna sitting drinking tea, and I hand Tsubaki my earnings for the night.

     Kalawarna said to me.

     "I just finished with my basic magic training and was waiting for you, are you ready to go home?"

     I kiss Sona and then say.

     "Okay, now I am ready, let's go. Good night Tsubaki and Sona, see you tomorrow."

     "Good work dear, and I love you, be safe going home you two."

     After saying goodbye again to Tsubaki who lightly blushed, I left with Kala to go home.

     Before we got into the car, Kala came to me and smiled looking down into my eyes, yeah this sucks, she is 4 inches taller than me without heels, sigh. I am 5 feet 5 inches tall, and she is 5 feet 9 inches tall.

     She leans in and we exchange a passionate kiss that I was not expecting, but am very happy to accept. After a few minutes we parted and she told me with a smile.

     "That's all you get tonight, my Motohama, because my body is still adjusting to my Evil Piece, and I don't want any accidents. So wait like a good boy and I will reward you for wanting this big-sister, fufu! Now let's go home, I have to make Precious my familiar tonight, giggle."

     Yeah she will regret that choice of familiar tomorrow I bet.

     "Yeah, let's go home."
