JASMINE
The room was dark and I sighed as soon as my eyes opened. I did not know I could sleep that long or I was never allowed to. I smiled at the remembrance of the conversation I had with Nathan just before I slept. I was glad, very glad that he was different from his father and that I fell into his hands. Thinking about it, I was not sure I would have survived that day in the clinic if he was not there. I was grateful to him, very grateful and I intended to let him know that I really was.
"Nathan?" I called but there was no response. I had searched the space beside me on the bed but he was not there.
I assumed he was in another room or busy in the house with something. Therefore, calling his name out loud was my next option.
"Nathan?" There was still no response and I was beginning to get scared. 'He did not tell me he was going anywhere.' I thought. "Nathan?"
