JASMINE
The cold hit my skin as I turned from one part of the floor to another. I had not seen anyone in so long, there was no way to keep track of time. I had used my hands to trail the corners of the room and there was no door. No one had come in or out and I had never heard any door open. I had not seen any form of light in so long and my eyes were starting to adjust to the dark. Now, I knew death was closer to me and was moving faster than I could run from it.
I was not sure that there was anything left for me even if I did not die here and I miraculously found a way of escape. I thought of Nathan and Finn and the little time that I got to spend with them. I was glad it happened because then, I was not going to die lonely and with the kind of life where no one knew I existed except my parents if they were still somehow alive themselves and those who inflicted pain on me without any form of remorse.
