JASMINE
Seeing my parents, I expected that I was going to feel different. I expected that all of my soul would have wanted to hug them and just let them know that I missed them very much but I stood there, staring at them in the room that was only slightly lit, the same place I had known as home before Nathan rescued me from the hands of the pack doctors that day. It reminded me that I had to have a conversation with him about why his parents were acting differently now compared to what I knew them as.
"Jasmine?" My mother's voice brought me back to reality.
I did not know what she wanted to say but her voice brought healing to me. Not being able to remember the conversation I already had with them before now was enough to make me feel as though they had said some things or I had said some things that none of us could come back from.
"Yes?" I replied, ready to get it over with.
