Chapter25

"Here's fifty thousand, take it and gamble. I'll manage with just this twenty or thirty thousand," said Chen Tianming, sitting in the car, as he tossed the fifty thousand to a bewildered Lin Guo.

"Boss, you're giving it to me? I don't know how to gamble. If you give it to me, I'll lose it all in less than half an hour," Lin Guo couldn't believe that Chen Tianming wanted him, someone who had never won at gambling, to gamble. Wasn't that a huge waste?

"What are you afraid of losing for? It's just fifty thousand. I'll win, that's all that matters. We're brothers gambling together now, there'll be wins and losses. You lose fifty thousand, I win eight million. This is called give and take." Chen Tianming laughed. Lin Guo was an honest man. Not bad.

"Xiao Su and Xiao San will follow you, the other brothers will follow me. Feng Hao, is the bag ready?" Chen Tianming turned to ask Feng Hao, who was checking the bag intended for the money.

"Ming, no problem, there won't be any holes. Once the money goes in, I won't let it escape," Feng Hao joked, even in this tense moment.

"Haha," everyone laughed.

"Alright, let's go!" Chen Tianming saw that everyone was in good spirits, boosting his confidence even further.

Chang Le Casino was actually in a large courtyard in the wilderness. Upon entering, everyone had to undergo a full-body search. A guy with a bulge at his waist was scanning everyone with a metal detector, but the metal rods and other items of Chen Tianming and his group were left in the car. According to Lin Guo, there were many surveillance cameras on the only road leading to the casino, meaning they could see who was coming from kilometers away. If anything seemed amiss, the casino people would be gone.

However, the casino people had good relations with the authorities. They would get wind of any disturbance long before it happened. This was one of the reasons Chang Le Casino attracted gamblers; no one wanted to be disturbed while gambling, especially by the police. Once inside the courtyard, there was a conspicuous building in the center. Chen Tianming had used his skills to sense many hidden sentries around, each holding a short object, probably a gun.

Inside the building, it was different from Da Niu's noisy casino. Here it was quieter, but not empty. There were twice as many people as in Da Niu's casino. These people, however, didn't make much noise, speaking only occasionally and mostly focused on gambling. There were more observers than gamblers, all watching respectfully, not speaking, just observing the surroundings, likely bodyguards accompanying the gamblers.

Chen Tianming, now skilled at gambling, quickly won over a million. However, he didn't dare show off and moved to other tables. But he wasn't as skilled at other games as he was at listening to dice, and soon lost nearly half of the million he had won.

Feng Hao, worried, said, "Ming, you won over a million just now, and now you've lost five hundred thousand. I think you're not lucky with these games, you should go back to the dice table!"

"Don't worry, I'll play a bit more," Chen Tianming smiled, seeing the anxious faces of the people with him.

"Play more?" Feng Hao muttered under his breath. Losing fifty thousand in such a short time was more than he could earn in a lifetime.

Chen Tianming whispered to Feng Hao, "Winning without losing isn't gambling, that's just making money. If the casino people notice, we won't make it out. They all have guns. Winning more and losing less is my goal this time. Always leave yourself a way out. Understand?"

Feng Hao nodded, somewhat understanding. It was too complicated for him to grasp immediately. If it were about how to take someone down, he'd understand that better.

As Chen Tianming walked and gambled, he saw Lin Guo at a Tianjiu table. "How's it going, brother? Any luck?" he asked.

"I've won twenty thousand," Lin Guo replied happily. He couldn't believe his luck, getting good hands like Tianjiu and Di Ba, and even winning a full house once. It was awesome. "How about you, boss?"

"He won over a million at first, but then lost fifty thousand," Feng Hao interjected, sweating profusely from anxiety over the loss.

"What do you know? Boss knows what he's doing. Just watch and don't talk. No one will think you're mute if you keep quiet," Lin Guo scolded Feng Hao. Seeing Chen Tianming's nonchalant demeanor, he knew he had a plan and wasn't worried.

"Haha, keep playing. I'll go back to the dice table," Chen Tianming said, patting Lin Guo's shoulder. Losing that much meant he should be able to win a few million now, he thought.

"Fifty thousand on big," Chen Tianming told Feng Hao. He wanted to win double this time and get a hundred thousand.

"Ming, it's big," Feng Hao said excitedly, seeing the 4, 5, 6 result. The tension left him, and he realized his clothes were soaked with sweat.

"Good, put this hundred thousand in the bag. Then use fifty thousand to bet big again." Chen Tianming wanted to win more cautiously, avoiding drawing attention by betting too large at once.

Feng Hao was the happiest. The bag held at least eight million now. Though Ming didn't win every time, winning two or three times for every loss meant more and more money in the bag. Eight million! It felt like a dream. This morning, Guo had told them they were going to gamble with Ming, expecting to win or lose ten or twenty thousand. But now, the bag held over eight million. Ming was incredible. No wonder Guo wanted everyone to follow Ming.

"Hey there, handsome, you're quite lucky tonight, aren't you?" A seductive voice accompanied by a waft of perfume reached Chen Tianming.

A sexy and charming young woman appeared in front of him. She was a real beauty but a rose with thorns, flanked by three strong bodyguards.

From their stance and gaze, it was clear the bodyguards were no ordinary men. They had training, perhaps even martial arts skills.

"Not really, just a bit of luck tonight," Chen Tianming replied, not wanting to get involved with this thorny rose. After all, handling her would be more troublesome than dealing with a hot streak.
