Inside the castle, Sir Ivonheart confronted him. "Where have you been? We're under attack!"

John blurted out, "Dragons! Two of them! Their coming this way."

His father, King Eldric Lyrian, leaned on his cane. "where's your brother?"

John didn't know what to say, "i don't know where he is but I hope he returns."

John told his father.

At that moment Lereya, his lover, came out behind a tree. She lunged at the witch, but froze mid-air. John staggered, dizzy, yet determination fueled his steps. "Let go of her!"

The witch then grabbed both of them and flew up air thickened with malevolence as the witch's grip tightened. She then dropped John into a large river, and Lereya's desperate scream echoed, The witch, her eyes void of compassion, ascended to the castle and entered with lereya.

At the throne room Lereya, her ribs aching, stood defiantly. "You'll never be queen," she spat, her voice trembling.

The witch's laughter was a discordant melody. "Put this crown on my head," she commanded, settling onto the throne. A spectral crown appeared before Lereya, Red Ruby's and gold, She tried to flee, but an invisible force held her in place.

She then put the crown on her head "I hate you with all my life," Lereya gasped, her breaths ragged. Her bones cracked, and tears blurred her vision. The witch's eyes bore into her soul.

"Say it," the witch hissed, her heel grinding into Lereya's cheek.

"You are queen," Lereya whispered, her defiance a fragile shield against pain.

The witch's smile was a raven's wing a promise of darkness. She went to the balcony, where her dragons circled, wingspan blotting out the sun. The knights lay defeated, their valor extinguished.

"Mother is pleased," the witch murmured to her dragons. The castle trembled, and the world shifted. House Lyrian crumbled, and the throne room echoed with the hollow laughter.
