Chapter Thirty-Five: Mad Mage
Zenith worked on the other weapons he remembered, then paused as a thought came to his mind.
"They may have changed their minds since then." Or he hoped they had. Like Aleksandra and her slingshot, and Lilian and her boomerang. "They may have."
The two students arguing stopped and turned to him, thinking he spoke to them. "Change our mind about what?" Alexandria looked down. "Whoa… wait…"
The twin swords were done and undergoing some special designs. The other finished weapons stayed by the side, and it didn't seem like they'd get special designs, even his halberd, that look a bit heavier than he expected.
"The twins swords are Alez's though, not mine." Alexandria said, as a matter of fact.
Zenith glanced at them and nodded. "I know."
Alexandria squeezed his face. "You even made it first. You're obviously picking favorites, Sir."
Zenith noticed he didn't complain with jealousy, probably because Alez was his friend.
The truth was he only wanted to embody wisteria flower designs on a weapon made of ice and the twin swords were the best fit for it.
Maybe, just maybe, he also wanted to make Alez's own stand out, after all, he's the best student in the class and obeyed the corrections written in his books with green ink.
Also, Alez wouldn't complain if he didn't actually like wisteria flowers. Zenith just wanted to do what he wanted with the least confrontational student.
"If you want a halberd designed with flower prints so badly, tell him to do it for you." Nephis teased.
Alexandria huffed and picked his halberd, he pointed it at her and with an acting voice, ordering. "You've been annoying me, little girl. Pick your weapon. A match to the death."
Zenith levitated the other weapons, apart from Nephis's spear, and shifted them to another area, to avoid having to repeat his work. He also stepped away from them so they could swing and stab as they like.
Nephis kicked her spear up and caught it, she pointed it at Alexandria. "You shall die by my hands!"

In Class 11-B, a student left their seat, eyes closed and walked forward till they reached the chalkboard and even hit it but their legs kept on moving.
Her hands raised and a soft indigo light grew from her hands and she threw it forward. It blasted past the wall, making a thundering sound and consuming the wall of the next class, Class 11-A.
The teacher at Class 11-A sprang up from her seat immediately and the students became alert, screaming and running to the other wall.
"Who's that? What are you doing—" the teacher paused when she saw the girl standing with a blank expression, and behind her, other students stared into space.
They were definitely in another realm and the behavior would be involuntarily. That was common in a school of magic were the students might go berserk.
The teacher quickly casted a barrier mixed with a concealment spell to hide the class, Sir Zenith must've taken them down quite a journey.
"Miss, what's this?" A boy asked when he noticed the piece of the indigo light that touched his desk still corroded it, eating it away.
One of his classmates rushed to him to help stop the corrosion. Just as it seemed to be over, another indigo light shot past them, breaking the barrier and the concealment spell.
The teacher's jaw fell as she stared at the girl. How could such a little girl break through her barrier? She grabbed her collar. "Hey! Hey! Snap out of this!"
She noticed the sensing spell Sir Zenith had casted and frowned. The student also bypassed the sensing spell? Her hands pulsed and veins popped all over.
Just as the student raised her hand to throw another indigo light, the pulsing hand slapped her across the face, and crashed her body to a close wall.
The students of Class 11-A watched with dropped jaws as their teacher marched to the student and picked her up effortlessly.
"Who do you think you are to use your magic when it had a 'forbidden use' stamp?" the teacher seethed. "And you do that while acting unconscious?"
Dexter Esther's eyes opened and they were not their usual brown color but glowed in an indigo shade. "Drop me." Her voice was deep.
"Damn you! I'd break you if you weren't a student!" The teacher slammed her head on a wall.
A girl, the classmate who had helped a boy fix his corroding desk, ran out of the class to call Sir Zenith.
Class 11 had two special teachers that joined them that session, one was an SSSSS-Rank Mage and the other was a mad S-Class Mage, literally.
The girl ran out to the field after seeing the message on the board in Class 11-B. On getting outside, she paused, seeing Alexandria Feloncia and the Guandan citizen fighting with strange weapons.
What the hell was happening in Class 11-B?
She noticed the intense presence and easily walked to Sir Zenith. "Excuse me, Sir. A student… in your class is challenging my teacher and… it wouldn't end well."
Her voice was low and she felt flustered to be talking to the popular handsome S-Class Mage but she struggled to get the words out to save lives.
Alexandria and Nephis turned to her, surprised. Zenith sighed tiredly and grabbed Lilian's Boomerang. "Who is that? Is it Alexandria—" he turned to the boy.
It wasn't Alexandria? What other crazy student did he have? He dropped the boomerang and sped to the class. The girl followed him.
"Did Sir Zenith think it'd be me when I'm right here?" Alexandria folded his arms. "And he picked a boomerang? To do what? Break my head?"
Nephis chuckled and ran after them.
Alexandria sighed and tried following, but realized he found it hard to move, the halberd in his hands suddenly became very heavy to lift and he let it go.
He folded his fingers multiple times to circulate blood but it didn't seem like blood circulation was the problem. Essence circulation was.
"I didn't use my element when playing with Nephis so why… why…" he fell on one knee. It wasn't normal. Something was taking over his body and he was fighting for consciousness.
He stretched his hand towards the direction they all went to, hoping for someone to help him. He remembered how helpless he'd been the other day with Escanor and took his hand down.
"Whatever you are…" he sent a wave of current running up and down his body, "… just stop."
A minute later, he felt relieved. But his breathing quickened when he felt an attack on his throat, it became sore that he couldn't scream for help.
His body became numb as he couldn't move any part of his body, his brain was too tired to telepathically send waves of current through his body again.
There was a change in his environment and he wondered if Sir Zenith returned, but the orange boots his eyes caught weren't what his teacher wore.
A hand touched his cheeks and there was a cackle of a lady. "Such a beautiful young man, and that's one Alexander for the Conjurer. Thank you."
