Chapter Forty: Messed Up
Alexandria surrounded his body with currents at the same time the pillar made impact with the ground and shattered to large chunks under him.
His back ached but the effect had greatly reduced by the current that protected him. But using the currents made the metallic cuffs on him to bruise him and he couldn't use his wrists.
He stared at them in defeat, but it's all he could do to soften the impact of his landing.
He knew it's better he tried breaking from the cuffs when he's already free from the Dark Mage than breaking free and having to fight the Dark Mage to escape with bruised wrists.
He fell to the ground panting. If he had touch the ground from that height, wouldn't he had died many times worse than the Dark Mage would've done to him?
Sir Zenith might not be the careful type when he's angered, and Alexandria would never want to be at the receiving end of the rage he just saw.
