Su Mu felt both nervous and excited, with a tinge of thrill as her two fluffy tails swayed back and forth.

The two exchanged a glance, seeing the desire for plunder flickering in each other's eyes.

"Ready, Foxy?" Pei Xuanyin asked.

"Mm-hmm!"

With Su Mu's affirmative response, Pei Xuanyin took out the token marked with Su Mu's bite, and the light on the seal was drawn to the ancient door.

The runes shimmered, forming a magical array. Chains woven with spiritual light shattered, and the ancient door slowly opened.

What greeted them was a blinding golden light. Su Mu squinted her eyes to adjust to the brightness and then saw a somewhat dilapidated statue.

A faint whisper seemed to reach her ears, "I am...here...to...light...the way...for you…"

The voice was fragmented. Su Mu tried hard to listen, but it vanished in an instant as if it had never been there.

Seeing Su Mu staring at the statue in a daze, Pei Xuanyin explained, "It is said this statue is of the first ruler of the Da Yong Dynasty. It used to stand beneath the Floating City, but as time passed, the elders used an array to move it to the treasury for preservation."

Su Mu nodded, puzzled, and asked, "Xuanyin, did you hear someone speaking?"

Pei Xuanyin was surprised, "Huh? But we're the only ones here."

Su Mu shook her head. She had indeed heard someone speak, and the voice seemed to come from the glowing statue.

Neither noticed the faint glow of the mysterious mark on Su Mu's abdomen, visible through her sheer clothing, slowly dimming.

Finding no clues, Su Mu tugged at Pei Xuanyin, saying, "Never mind, maybe I misheard. Let's move on."

They continued deeper into the treasury.

The eternal light on the statue flickered. "Her aura...is it...have you...returned..."

"Deer Blood Ginseng, Nine-Leaf Sky Star Grass, and Millennium Red Fruit!" Su Mu's eyes sparkled, and a bit of drool glistened at the corner of her mouth, her tails wagging happily.

Pei Xuanyin nudged her. "Don't just stand there, eat up!"

With that, Su Mu darted forward, devouring everything in sight.

Pei Xuanyin watched, fists clenched in encouragement, feeling the joy of feeding her companion.

Su Mu's current body seemed like a bottomless pit. Whether it was spiritual materials or heaven-and-earth elixirs, she swallowed them whole.

One word: devour!

By the end, her petite body glowed with a myriad of colors, spiritual essence bursting from her seven orifices.

Opening her mouth, she released a mist of spiritual energy. "Xuanyin...hic...I'm...full…"

Pei Xuanyin couldn't help but laugh at the multicolored fox.

Su Mu rubbed her swollen belly, finally stopping her hiccups, and glared at Pei Xuanyin. "What's so funny!"

She then lightly tapped the Jingzhe bell, instantly emptying the entire room of spiritual materials.

Pei Xuanyin's mouth dropped open in surprise. "Wow, Foxy, your bell can act as a storage treasure!"

Su Mu smiled smugly but then remembered something and pulled Pei Xuanyin close. "Xuanyin, whatever you do, don't let your sister find out!"

Pei Xuanyin chuckled. "Alright, alright, I won't tell her."

As they passed through a long corridor, the crystals on the walls automatically lit up.

The two stopped in front of a new scene.

Pei Xuanyin said, "This is the Divine Weapons Room. My Moon Arrow Bow came from here. Some of the weapons are crafted by master smiths and have special properties, while others were brought back from ancient ruins by our ancestors."

"Ruins?" Su Mu murmured.

Pei Xuanyin nodded. "Yes, Qizhou has many ancient ruins. Many of the secret formations and techniques we practice come from these ruins. It seems Qizhou once experienced a collapse. There is no information about these ruins, as if...civilization was severed."

Su Mu nodded. Even in Qingzhou, the concept of a broken civilization was the same.

The pre-ancient era seemed to have been cut off, the past untraceable, and the future uncertain.

Su Mu nodded, letting go of her doubts.

With a "clang," she pulled out a heavy yet exceptionally sharp curved blade, hefting it in her hands.

Finding the right angle, she raised it high, channeling her golden spiritual energy into it. The blade's power revived, runes lighting up. A bull's phantom appeared on the blade, roaring towards the sky before charging forward.

"Clang!" The blade met the light blue chain on her foot with a teeth-grating screech, even the ground showing array patterns to contain Su Mu's destructive force.

As the spiritual energy dissipated, Su Mu's face puffed up in frustration, the chain remained unscathed. Her hands, however, tingled with a slight numbness from the shock.

"Crack…" An almost inaudible sound echoed.

Before their astonished eyes, the ancient blade began to crack, shattering into pieces with a "crash."

Su Mu stomped her foot in anger. "Damn it! What on earth did Pei Longyue put on me? I won't give up! Let's try again!"

"Bang!" A chain-shaped dent appeared on a spiked club.

"Clang!" A few spikes broke off a Morningstar.

"Huff...huff…" Exhausted, Su Mu bent over, panting heavily. Despite her efforts, the colorful glow on her body finally began to fade.

Pei Xuanyin gulped, looking at the ground covered in damaged or shattered divine weapons.

Su Mu gave up, leaning on a bent staff weapon and sitting down to recover her strength.

Pei Xuanyin approached, gently stroking Su Mu's fox ears. Happy that Foxy was increasingly comfortable with her touch, she reassured her, "My sister must have left in a hurry and didn't have time to unlock it. When she returns, I'll go with you to find her, okay?"

Su Mu nodded. "Damn Pei Longyue, always playing tricks. Once I break through to the Nascent Soul stage, I'll make her pay!"

She bared her sharp fox teeth for emphasis.

Unfortunately, her delicate face made her look adorable in Pei Xuanyin's eyes.

Just as Pei Xuanyin was about to giggle foolishly, Su Mu dusted off her skirt and said, "Let's go. We only have half an hour left and several rooms to explore. I want to make Pei Longyue regret it!"

Imagining Pei Longyue begging her to return the treasures, Su Mu couldn't help but cover her mouth and giggle, even her steps becoming lighter.

Pei Xuanyin quickly followed.

"Jingle… jingle…"

A wind chime in the corner rang softly.

The elder, whom Pei Xuanyin referred to, as Mo, opened his eyes.

Seeing the two carrying a pile of materials, he waved his hand dismissively, tossing Pei Xuanyin's Qiankun Bag back to her.

"Go on, don't block my sunlight."

Su Mu didn't mind, and Pei Xuanyin stifled a laugh.

Su Mu glanced back at the old man with a smirk. Who's the pet now? We've cleaned out your treasury, enjoy your sunlight, old man! Ha-ha-ha!
