Chapter 21

Taking a deep breath, Luna recounted the whirlwind of events: the unexpected engagement to Leonardo Solace, the tense dynamics with Luca, and now, the unsettling encounters with Lila. Sophie listened intently, her expressions ranging from shock to disbelief.

"Wait, you're engaged to Leonardo Solace?" Sophie interrupted, her eyes sparkling with fascination. "Oh my gosh, Luna, he's like the most eligible bachelor on campus! And those hazel eyes..." She trailed off dreamily before shaking herself out of her reverie. "But seriously, what's been going on with Luca and Lila? That sounds... complicated."

Luna sighed, leaning back against her pillows. "Complicated is an understatement," she admitted. "Luca keeps trying to convince me to call off the engagement, and now I keep seeing Lila hanging around him and Leonardo. It's like they're everywhere."

Sophie frowned sympathetically. "That does sound tough," she said softly. "But hey, you're strong, Luna. You can handle this. And if anyone gives you trouble, just let me at 'em!"

Luna couldn't help but smile at Sophie's unwavering support. "Thanks, Sophie," she said gratefully. "I needed to hear that."

The two friends spent the evening catching up, with Sophie filling Luna in on her adventures abroad and Luna sharing more details about the upcoming wedding plans and her growing concerns.

As the evening turned into night, Luna felt a sense of relief wash over her. Talking to Sophie had been like a breath of fresh air.

The next morning, Luna woke up early, determined to face the day with a renewed sense of resolve. She went through her morning routine, trying to keep her thoughts focused on the tasks at hand. When she arrived at the academy, she noticed Leonardo waiting for her by the entrance.

"Luna, can we to talk," Leonardo said, his tone serious but gentle.
