Longyuan Empire initially a six tribe nation now a five tribe nation was one of the strongest empires recorded in History. The natural inhabitants of the Empire, both men and women were well versed in both Martial Arts and medicine. Longyuan was formerly made up of six main tribes;the Azure Crane Tribe ,Silver Fox Guild ,the Obsidian Bear Tribe ,the Iron Tiger Brotherhood,Jade Serpent Sisterhood and the extinct Crimson Willow Tribe;each with their own common surnames to distinguish between the tribes.
The Azure Crane Tribe was nestled in the mist-shrouded peaks of Yunhe Mountain in Jiuling Metropolis. The Azure Crane Tribe practiced calligraphy, tea ceremonies, and meditation. They revered the elegant azure crane, believing it embodied wisdom and longevity.Their common surnames were Feng,Gu,Ye and Chen. Feng and Gu were for the high-class,Ye was for the middle class and Chen was for the lowest class in the society.Their signature martial arts technique was the "Dancing Crane Fist," a fluid style that mimicked the crane's movements.
The Silver Fox Guild thrived in the bustling streets of Xiaoyun Town. The guild members were skilled thieves, spies, and entertainers. They wore silver fox masks and performed acrobatics in moonlit courtyards. They all had Xu as their surname regardless of class in the society.Their martial arts technique;"Silent Shadows Technique" emphasized stealth, misdirection, and surprise attacks.
The Obsidian Bear Tribe settled in the snow-capped peaks of Mount Lingyun. These hardy warriors hunted snow leopards, mined precious gems, and carved totemic bear statues. The obsidian bear represented strength and endurance. They beared the surnames Sun, Jiang ,Han and Fu.
Their Martial Arts technique "Mountain's Wrath" combined brute force with earth-based techniques.
The Iron Tiger Brotherhood roamed the vast Silk Road, from deserts to oases. These nomads excelled in horseback archery, caravan guarding, and trading exotic goods. They honored the spirit of the iron tiger, fierce and unyielding. They all had Xiong as their common surname.Their technique "Iron Claw Grapple" combined strength and agility, allowing them to disarm foes swiftly.
The Jade Serpent Sisterhood was hidden within the emerald bamboo forests of the Yangtze River. The sisters cultivated herbal remedies, tended to wounded animals, and wove intricate silk garments. They venerated the jade serpent for its healing properties. They shared the surnames Wu,Bei and Liu.Their "Serpent's Embrace" focused on joint locks and pressure points, rendering opponents immobile.
The Crimson Willow Tribe was once the most invincible tribe famous for practicing forbidden swordsmanship techniques. This tribe had Murong and Zhao as their common surnames. They were all massacred having been accused of treason for conspiring with Longyuan's rival empire, Xianfeng Empire.
Of the five remaining tribes the Silver Fox Guild was considered the most powerful. The Azure Crane Tribe was considered the noble most with the Jade Serpent Sisterhood and the Obsidian Bear Tribe in the second place and third place respectively.
Apart from the five tribes that practiced martial arts, there were also martial arts sects especially in Jiuling Metropolis, the empire's capital. In Jiuling Metropolis there were four main sects Silver Crane Sect,Scarlet Tiger Sect, Golden Serpent Monastery and Taihua Peak Sect.
Longyuan Empire was reigned by Emperor Feng Huo of the Azure Crane Tribe. The Imperial Harem composed of the deceased Empress Wu Xuezhi,Consort Sun Hao and Consort Liu Meiying. Empress Wu was from the Jade Serpent Sisterhood,Consort Sun was from the Obsidian Bear Tribe and Consort Liu was also from the Jade Serpent Sisterhood. The three had borne the Emperor three sons;Feng Yuan,Feng Liang and Feng Yiran respectively. Feng Liang and Feng Yiran were born the same time making it difficult to determine who was the elder but Feng Yiran was referred to as the Third Prince because his mother was the third wife. After Emperor Feng married Sun Hao she stayed childless for two years and everyone thought she was barren so Emperor Feng married Liu Meiying and the two consorts coincidentally went into labour the same time.
Feng Yuan on the other hand lost his mother at the age of six and grew up as an independent emotionless son. His beauty seemed to increase as he aged as well as his martial arts skills making him the luckiest man in Longyuan Empire.
