Do you love Arundhati?

After 3 days,

Aarav was leaving today,

Aarav stood in his study going through a file while Iqbal came to the door. Iqbal stood there waiting for Aarav to complete his work and didn't say a word.

Within minutes Aarav finished his work and turned to leave, Iqbal followed behind, both not uttering a ward until they reached Aarav's car.

"Avi seemed happy, did you talk to her,"Iqbal asked observing Aarav's face

"No, I didn't, and I don't want you to do it either" Aarav said his face expressionless.

'Just don't say anything, that would make it hard to control the situation' that was what he actually meant.

And even without saying it out, Iqbal understood the meaning of Aarav's words and nodded his head.

"One more thing ask someone to keep an eye on Arundhati's parents" Iqbal was shocked to hear Aarav's words but nodded.

Iqbal's lack of questions surprised Aarav's as his thought to himself, 'this man didn't question my purpose' and was opening the car door when he heard Iqbal saying something.

"Aarav can I ask you something" Iqbal said, he knew he was testing Aarav's patience, and he also knew it was dangerous, but his curiosity made it harder for him to hold on any longer.

Aarav sensed nervousness in Iqbal's voice just the mere fact that this man who was planing something grand for years and whose brain almost runs at the speed of a bullet train was nervous to ask a question was enough to show how dangerous original Aarav was, and he knew, he couldn't avoid this man's question, so turning his head to Iqbal he thought to himself, 'Why is this man sounding nervous did something happen'.

Although Aarav didn't know what was bothering this man, he still nodded his head, " Yes".

"I know this might be personal, but I would like to know..."

Iqbal paused, giving his question a final thought.

"Iqbal just say it" Aarav said while thinking something was really wrong and this bastard was still wasting time weighing pro's and con's without saying anything.

As if Aarav's words had magic Iqbal spoke out his thoughts

"Do you love Arundhati?"

Aarav's thoughts came to halt when he heard Iqbal's words, and he stood there in utter disbelief,as he thought to himself 'Is this Iqbal mentally retarded, when did the definition of love change and for god's sake who in the world would humiliate their beloved as much as Aarav did. I was an orphan in my previous life then why do I feel like my emotional intelligence is greater than these people who at least have someone to call their family. Sigh, now what should I say, I don't have predecessor's memory to say anything for sure so let's just avoid it'.

After a brief silence, Aarav Said "I don't know"

Iqbal was surprised to hear the answer and said,

"I understand, then please be safe"

Aarav was surprised to hear the gentleness in Iqbal's voice but was not interested in spending his time with a ticking bomb which was ready to go off at any moment. So he chose to remain silent.

Aarav drove off to Trivedi Mansion.

Iqbal POV,

I knew Aarav for a long time, but I never understood him.

Whatever he did was always beyond everyone's imagination and when I learned about the thing he did to Arundhati, that poor child I lost my hope and I also felt that this man was not the right choice for our goal, so I decided to sideline him and go forward with Avi.

Today he came to the villa and I went to express my disappointment but when I entered his room I saw him depressed, as if something was bothering him. I didn't pay any attention to his state of mind and said,"Looks like Aarav Trivedi is enjoying his time" and the response I received was beyond my imagination.

"I fucking hate it" He said, I thought he would be enjoying his revenge, although the plan backfired a little, and he had to marry Arundhati, his revenge was still successful then why was he not happy. I couldn't help but feel that this man was lying.

But the next second Aarav changed his answer and said," I did" and that when I realized that this man was not lying when he said 'he hated it' he meant it. Aarav was not someone who could express himself freely, and he often said things that he didn't mean just to portray himself as a strong man. We talked for a bit and I left the room after that.

The next morning, I saw Avi happily humming a song while making breakfast, I went to her and said,"What's up why is our Avi so happy today"

She looked at me and then to the sides as if ensuring that no one was around in particular Aarav and said, " Ray came to my room, yesterday".
