Kyros pov
I'm here holding Zelda as she shakes and cries at the shock of calamity Gannon. The great Hyrule plateau is a vast area filled with great trees, fields, lakes and an icy mountain it's easily larger than the games make it out to be and that was no small scale either. I can see the edge from the cliff top but it's easily seven miles as the crow flies.
Soon Zelda stops shaking and starts to stand up slowly with my help. A faint smell of piss fills my sensitive nose as I see the leather around Zelda's crotch darken. " I'm sorry," says Zelda softly, " I just had a horrible memory."
" It's fine, " I say as my bracelet pings along with Zelda's tablet. A glowing screen appears on both with our names and a basic rundown of what we have equipped.

Her slate also says we have six apples in the food section.
" This is fascinating," says Zelda slowly coming back from the memory. She looks at the slate as a yellow dot appears on one area where we are at along with a message.
Explore the plateau
" Well can't fault that logic," I say as she looks at me strangely," what I'm referring to is finding out where we are, what resources we have/need, and a location for shelter other than the cave behind us."
" Gotcha," she says as she looks around the cliff top and spots a trail leading down and signs of some campfire smoke rising up a distance away. " We could head down that way."
" True but let's find all resources up here first, maybe a branch or two for protection each. Won't be much but still better than our fists," I say as both of us start collecting the branches laying around, a few fallen apples, hylian mushrooms, Hyrule herbs, and Zelda caught a bladed rhino beetle.
" I believe this is good right?" Asks Zelda as I take inventory.
" Yes it is good but only for a short while," I say as I hand her a branch to protect herself with and we both start going down the path. For a semi apocalyptic time it seems almost peaceful with how nature has taken over. Then again Gannondorf is about stupid, wanting power and to rule Hyrule but almost wipes it out of almost all sentient life in every game. The only exception is skyward sword since that was demise not Gannondorf.
Walking beside Zelda she looks around at everything easily distracted. I sigh as I remember this Zelda having some sort of inferiority complex along with being a tsundere in the first game. Her hazardous aloof approach to anything that catches her interest had gotten her in trouble before, I just hope it hasn't continued since her time healing. Yeah I'm going to have some trouble, I can feel it.
Soon we approach the area that has the campfire and we find a smoldering fire pit that's been obviously used but no one is around. Zelda looks around and spots several baked apples while I find the giant wood ax that's buried into a stump a little bit away. ' hmm, where's the King's ghost. Surely he would've wanted to see his daughter but then again he wasn't ever compassionate towards her. More worried about the stupid future than his own daughter,' I think as Zelda grabs the apples off a tree nearby. As she climbs down a bright orange hand grabs her leg and yanks her off the tree. She screams as a bokobolin comes out of the tall grass near the tree grinning stupidly. It's loincloth shoved to the side already exposing its tiny ugly dick. Wasting no time I rush the bokobolin and swing the ax sideways with my might cleaving the monster into the Apple tree bisecting it in half before it disappears into purple smoke leaving behind a tooth and horn.
Zelda sobs as she scoots away from the embedded ax and I hold her as she cries into my shoulder. Rubbing her back I look around looking for other monsters. " It would've raped me," Zelda says softly as I hold her. " It's ok, it's dead and your safe," I say as she shakes in fear. Soon I hear a twig snap and immediately push Zelda into the small alcove that holds the fire pit as more bokobolins walk out. Three more orange bokobolins all armed with clubs except for one which has a bow and arrows.
Activating my wings glyph I grab the two with the clubs as they jump towards me in my wing claws. Throwing one at the archer hitting him I use my wings to tear the other in half before tossing the dissolving corpse away. Yanking the ax out of the tree I jump towards the two I knocked down and throwing the ax at the archer. Hitting the archer in the stomach with the ax handle , shattering it, I grab the other bokobolin and slam it into the ground like the goremagala does, which my wings are based on. Causing a slight depression into the ground around my wings I rush towards the archer that stands back up just in time to see three massive claws before they skewer its head.
I flick my wings, cleaning them of the monsters essence, I'm immediately embraced by Zelda as she checks me over. Soon we leave after gathering the two clubs for more protection and Zelda carrying the bow and arrows. We continue down the sloping trail until we hit a tree line and step out into a courtyard pathway. Looking to my Right I see a massive ruined cathedral that's covered in destroyed machines and a small lake, or large pond, with an island in the center.
" That place would've been beautiful once," says Zelda as she looks at the cathedral.
" Yeah I guess so, " I say appreciating the architecture before moving on down the trail. Soon we stop when some more campfire smoke rises below a ledge in front of us. Cautiously walking to the ledge we look down and see two more bokobolins with bows and arrows sitting by a fire roasting another smaller bokobolin. Cannibalism, how fitting. I hear Zelda grunt and see her trying to shove a rounded boulder down the ledge. Smirking I lend her a hand and we both get it over the ledge crushing the two monsters below. Sliding down the ledge we look the dissolving corpses. Zelda gains ten more arrows putting her at fifteen now.
" Any good with that," I say as she smirks and drawn an arrow. She sights in a lone bokobolin that's wandering around a broken fountain before firing the arrow and drawing again. The first arrow hits the bokobolin in its covered dick before the second arrow silences the scream by piercing its lung. Frothy blood comes from its mouth as it collapses and Zelda walks up to it grabbing its sword and stabbing it through the head.
She looks back to me but stops smirking as she slumps forward. An arrow has pierced her back and has bulged her shirt out as the arrowhead has gone all the way through. Her shocked reaction has her slowly shaking hands clutching the blood soaked fabric.

' it hurts, but why don't I scream?' I think as I see the arrow in my stomach. I faintly hear the scream of kyros as he slaughters the monsters behind me. His voice sounds like a roar of a dragon among the buzzing I hear in my head. 'I got cocky I tried showing off, I can't remember why I did. Was it to prove something? '
Soon I'm lifted by kyros and brought into a cave with one of them strange pedestals. He takes off my shirt leaving me in my wrappings before grabbing the arrow shaft and breaking it off.
" Ahhhhh," my voice finally works as he pulls the shaft through me and discards it away somewhere. My eyesight starts to blur before it fixes itself as he is crushing the Hyrule herbs in his mouth and using the mushed paste to seal my wound. My ragged breathing evens out as the herb paste is healing me quickly. Soon the world is back into focus for a time but exhaustion has kicked in as my adrenaline wears off. Kyros grabs my tablet and places it on to the pedestal and it lights up. Soon the ground shakes and next thing I know is we're both rising high into the sky. The view would've been breathtaking if I didn't close my eyes as I fall asleep. 'My last thought was how am I warm when we're in the sky?'

' fuck why did I have to say that shit about the bow,' I think as I use my wings to wrap Zelda close to my body. I've spent at least the past hour healing her wound as she fell in and out of shock before activating the tower. I would've waited but I heard more bokobolins coming to the cave. So I activated the tower killing the bokobolins with the flung rubble that trapped the tower. High in the sky now I have a bandaged Zelda wrapped in my wings providing her shaking body with warmth as I slowly drift to sleep myself.
