A Lead

At the Clark mansion,

Tracie was helping her mother prepare some breakfast although she despised cooking. 

Since the disappearance of Anastasia, Tracie had taken it upon herself to try to distract her mother from the fact that Anastasia was still missing and yet to be found, although she also needed the distraction from thinking it was all her fault Anastasia had disappeared months ago. 

"Let me help you with that," she said, taking the knife from Nora before the woman could protest.  

Despite having servants who could easily prepare their meals, Nora had her own rules. She didn't like leaving everything to them. The servants were restricted to washing, cleaning, and assisting in the kitchen—but never handling the entire process themselves.

"You need to rest. Kael told me you were awake all night searching for her," said Nora, taking the knife back from Tracie.
