race against time(二)

At that time, I racked my brains to integrate into the group of children in Jiajia Village, but I was repeatedly excluded. One year was not enough for me to master the entire language of Jiajia Village. Therefore, whenever I tried to greet those children, talk, laugh and scream with them, they would make fun of me and say that I was a dumb person who couldn't even speak properly. In order to make me give up, they even imitated my tone of voice and deliberately made funny expressions to humiliate me.

I was often isolated and helpless in front of those groups of children.

After Jia Guangtou's barber shop opened, Jia Yiren took me there and asked him to shave my head. So, in the mouths of the children in Jiajia Village, I changed from a "stinky mute" who spoke incoherently to a "little monk" with a bald head.

I didn't care about my hair, but I cared about those children laughing at me and giving me nicknames. For this reason, I went to Jia Guangtou's barber shop and angrily asked him to return my hair to me.

"Little monk! Little monk!"

"Little monk who went to the West to seek Buddhist scriptures."

After I walked into the barber shop, the boys who bullied me were still screaming and making trouble at the door of the shop.

"Little monk who eats vegetarian food and chants sutras."

"Hey, little monk, where is your hair?"

"You will be taken away by monsters soon if you lose your hair!"

I ignored them and walked straight to Jia Guangtou who stopped cutting hair and looked at me in confusion.

"I'm here to get my hair."

Before Jia Guangtou said anything, Jia Guangxin, who was sitting on a chair with his hair half cut, laughed first.

"I'm not talking to you."

Hearing Jia Guangxin's chuckle, I said something to him in dissatisfaction. I know him and know that his house is next door to ours.

"You cut off my hair, I'm here to get my hair back." I looked up and stared at Jia Guangtou angrily.

"It's strange." Jia Guangtou held the comb and combed Jia Guangxin's head a few times, smiling.

"It's strange." Jia Guangxin, who was sitting on the chair, echoed him.

"Little monk, your hair is gone, you can't get it back!"

"Go to the West to get the scriptures quickly."

The boys who bullied me were still yelling and swearing at the door, and the indifference of the adults in the house also made me angry. I knew that I was isolated and helpless, so I angrily decided not to endure or please anymore. I turned around and pushed open the glass door of the barber shop, and ran towards the boy who yelled the loudest like a rooster.

"Look, I'll beat you up!"

I knocked him down and rode on him.

"I'll let you say that to me!"

I grabbed his hair, and he reached out to grab mine in pain, but he only touched a piece of bare. He turned and tried to grab my face, but I opened my mouth and bit my finger hard.

"Beat him for me! He grabbed my hair and bit my hand!" The boy lying under me grinned and asked his friends for help.

"Get out of the way."

The boy's friends all reached out to pull me, but I held the boy's hair tightly. As soon as they exerted force, the boy under me screamed in pain.

"Don't pull him! If you pull him, he will pull my hair," the boy cried in pain, "It hurts me even more!"

"Then what do you want us to do?" The boy's friends let go of my hands and looked at each other, feeling very embarrassed.

"Go and call the adults."

I looked at the boy's twisted face and wanted to pull all his hair out.

The children rushed into the barber shop again and dragged Jia Guangtou out.

"He bullies people." One of the children pointed at me and said to Jia Guangtou.

Jia Guangtou pried my hands apart, pulled me up from the boy, and picked up the boy covered in dust from the ground.

"He hit me." The boy pointed at me and complained to Jia Guangtou.

"You scolded me first." Their confusion of right and wrong made me extremely angry.

"Get out of here." Jia Guangtou was not interested in the children's farce. He let go of my hand, and then let go of the boy's other hand, and pushed him.

"You bully people too!"

The boy felt the same grievance as me, and immediately accused Jia Guangtou in a shrill voice, but what he got was a weak kick on his butt by Jia Guangtou.

"If you don't leave, I'll beat you up!"

Compared with my threats, Jia Guangtou's threats were much more effective.

"You are also a stinky monk!"

The boy ran away with his friends, then turned around and cursed Jia Guangtou.

Jia Guangtou ignored him and said to me: "Next time they bully you, grab their hair and beat them hard." After he said that, he turned and went into the store to continue cutting Jia Guangxin's hair.

Jia Guangtou finally chose to stand on my side, who also lost his hair.

I brushed off the dust on my body, raised my sleeves to wipe my face, and noticed Jia Ying, who was staring at me under a tree not far away. She sat on the grass under the tree, holding a wreath made of willow branches in her hand. She dotted the tender green willow buds with many blue and yellow flowers. Seeing me walking towards her, Yingzi nervously moved her eyes away from me.

"They scolded me, so I beat them," I thought she was afraid of me, and explained while walking to her side and sitting down, "and I don't beat girls."

"I saw it," Yingzi looked at me again, "I think you did the right thing."

"They only know how to bully people, they deserve to be beaten." She added in a low voice.

"Thank you." I smiled at her.

Yingzi lowered her head, pinched the tender green willow buds on the edge of the wreath, then stood up and gently put the woven wreath on my head.

"This is for you. Now you will be the omnipotent Monkey King. They won't dare to bully you anymore."

I touched the slightly cool wreath on my head, looked at Yingzi's bright eyes, and felt like I was sucked into a whirlpool.

"Yingzi, go home!"

After Jia Guangxin finished cutting her hair, he pushed open the door of the barber shop and walked out, calling Jia Ying's name.

"I'm here!" Yingzi replied crisply, patted her clothes, waved to me, and then ran to her father.

My eyes followed her away.

Yingzi walked to Jia Guangxin and stretched out her little hand for Jia Guangxin to hold. Jia Guangxin did not stretch out his hand to respond to her, but leaned down, pointed to his neck, and said something to her. Yingzi's expression seemed a little reluctant, and she reached out to grab Jia Guangxin's hand again, but Jia Guangxin dodged. Jia Guangxin squatted down directly, tilted his head, and patted his shoulders. Yingzi pouted and sat on it slowly. When she sat firmly, Jia Guangxin grabbed her two hands and slowly straightened up. Then, two big hands pulled two small hands and ran like a bird spreading its wings. Yingzi exclaimed, and then burst into a series of clear, bell-like laughter.

This beautiful scene made me understand the word fatherly love for the first time.

Although I lost my hair, after that, I gained special care from Jia Guangtou and a short romance with Yingzi.
