Chapter 257: The Last of the Four Divine Books, the Book of Memories in Hand!

Mnemosyne was also pondering why Hestia had come to visit.

As for whether Mnemosyne should hide or do something else?

Hehehe~~~ Don't be ridiculous! Mnemosyne wasn't an idiot. She knew full well that if she tried any fancy tricks, it would only spell trouble. After all, who was backing Hestia? Hestia was supported by the Underworld, and with the Titan War just having ended, the Underworld had already stirred up a lot of things.

The birth of this Spartan believer was destined to become a God-King level existence in the future. The path was clear—just follow it step by step. The Underworld had four Titan Chief Gods—Keres, Geras, Eurynomos, and Kharon—secretly protecting him, ensuring that he fulfilled his promises and completed his deeds.

Of course, these four Underworld Gods wouldn't help directly. They would only guard from the shadows. All the hardships had to be overcome by Sparta himself. Beyond that, they were there to prevent attacks from higher-level gods.

If, in a fair fight, Sparta were to die or be defeated, then so be it. That would be his own lack of skill, an unfortunate but unavoidable consequence.

However, if someone were to overstep their bounds to cause trouble, that would be a different matter. If Titan Chief Gods aren't enough, then they would escalate to God-Kings! And if that still wasn't enough, then Hades himself would come to talk. And if that didn't suffice, then the ancient gods Erebus and Nyx, that divine couple, would definitely step in.

That was the current situation in the Underworld. Apart from Sparta, Aether had just become a God-King, which left Mnemosyne feeling quite helpless. Facing a god like Hestia, who had such strong backing from the Underworld and held a high position, she really didn't want to get involved.

She had her own secrets to keep! But!

Hestia had already arrived, dressed in a pure white gown, smiling gently and warmly as she said, "Mnemosyne, it's a pleasure to meet you for the first time."

"Hestia, it's a pleasure to meet you as well," Mnemosyne replied with a smile.

Both of them were ancient, cunning beings. Neither feared the other, and although Mnemosyne didn't know Hestia's intentions, she decided they could at least have a chat.

The two entered the temple, exchanging pleasantries.

Hestia wasn't concerned at all about what Mnemosyne might try to do. Before coming, Hestia had personally visited the ancient god couple, Erebus and Nyx.

It could be said that since Kronos fell, this ancient couple had completely stopped holding back. They had realized that they shouldn't hesitate—go all in! If they did, the chances of success would be there.

Hestia wasn't asking this ancient couple to back her up or act as her bodyguards. She just wanted them to intervene if any other ancient gods tried to attack her.

Erebus and Nyx, although unsure of what was going on, didn't ask too many questions. They figured things would become clear eventually. They agreed to keep an eye on things—small matters, small matters.

"Well then…"

After some polite conversation, Mnemosyne smiled and asked, "Hestia, is there something specific you need?"

"Hehehe~~~"

Hestia laughed elegantly, like a refined lady, and said, "It's not a big deal. I just came to see you, Mnemosyne. After all, in this world, you're the only one of the Twelve Titans who's still around and not involved in anything."

"Sigh!"

Mnemosyne sighed slightly and said, "Hestia, thank you, but I actually enjoy this kind of life. Although I can't freely visit other places and am limited to living in the upper world, this peaceful life is quite comfortable."

"Is that so?" Hestia asked rhetorically, then answered herself, "As long as you're happy, Mnemosyne, that's all that matters. However, there's one more thing."

"Please go ahead."

Mnemosyne knew that they were finally getting to the main topic. It was time to discuss what Hestia had really come for.

Hestia smiled and said, "Mnemosyne, you're probably aware of the Four Divine Books, right? The Book of Omniscience, the Book of Knowledge, the Book of Wisdom, and the Book of Memories. Unfortunately, Lord Hades has already obtained three of them and is now searching for the last one—the Book of Memories."

"Sigh!"

Hestia seemed to sigh in regret as if she were merely asking if Mnemosyne knew where the Book of Memories was.

The Book of Wisdom was obtained by Hades from Metis.

The Book of Knowledge was obtained by Hades from Theia.

The Book of Omniscience, after Kronos's defeat, was birthed in the Underworld with the start of its official operations. As it represented the omniscience of the dead, it had already been claimed by Hades.

Because of this, only the last of the Four Divine Books, the Book of Memories, had yet to be acquired. And Hestia's visit was aimed at obtaining this final book.

Would Mnemosyne hand it over?

Hehehe~~~ Mnemosyne would give it up, and Hestia had a way to ensure that she did.

"This…"

Mnemosyne seemed to want to say something.

But Hestia smiled and said, "Recently, as you know, Hypnos and Thanatos's parents, those two supreme twin gods, have been discussing something interesting that seems to involve the Black Sea. Unfortunately, while the Black Sea contains extremely precious divine artifacts, we ordinary gods simply cannot enter it to search."

Hestia mentioned this matter as if it were just a casual topic, expressing her regret.

After all, the Black Sea itself was extremely dangerous, and the only way to enter was through the Sea Realm, which was Poseidon's domain. There was no way he would let anyone in easily.

The purpose behind Hestia bringing up these matters was indeed intriguing.

"…"

Mnemosyne's smile became strained, and after a moment, she replied with a smile, "Since Lord Hades has already obtained three of the Four Divine Books, then indeed, the Book of Memories should also be given to him. It just so happens that I have it. I'll give it to him."

"Hehehe~~~"

Hestia smiled and said, "Mnemosyne, thank you!"
