Chapter 385: The Settling of the Heavens! Who Awakens, Zeus or Abel? (Bonus Chapter 2)

A shadowy figure appeared—it was Gaia!

Although this was only a projection, every god present could recognize that it was Gaia without a doubt. There was no question about it.

And in this moment, the critical question was what would happen next. This was the most important thing now.

Eris and Gaia.

These two vastly different goddesses were now focused on the same objective: the essence of the God-King that resided within Zeus. Both sought to claim this primordial essence.

However!

Eris had acted swiftly, and the essence of the God-King had already begun to merge into her divine body. Hera's Divine Heart was powerless to stop it.

Even Gaia found herself without any recourse.

At that moment, Gaia, usually calm and composed, displayed a rare expression of displeasure—perhaps even extreme frustration.

This was the core issue.

The key was that Eris, cloaked in the power of the Helmet of Invisibility, was moving too fast. Under normal circumstances, Gaia's attacks should have easily penetrated this defense.

Yet, unexpectedly, they didn't.

"Hehehe~~~"

Eris chuckled softly, her voice filled with amusement. "Everything seems to be a coincidence, but when coincidences align, they form a result."

"Well then!"

"Goodbye!"

With a smile on her face, Eris was swallowed by the spreading darkness and vanished in an instant, completely disappearing.

From this, it became clear.

Eris had wielded both the Helmet of Invisibility and Hades' Sword—proof that Hades had been watching from the shadows all along.

"..."

The gods watching all remained silent. Why? How had Gaia failed to stop Eris? What was going on?

"The Mythical World…"

Gaia's projection faded away, leaving only those five words behind.

At that moment, the gods finally understood the true situation. The Mythical World itself had hindered everything. Even Gaia, the primordial Earth Goddess, could not escape the constraints imposed by the Mythical World.

As Eris had said, everything was a coincidence.

However!

When all those coincidences aligned, they became fact.

Gaia's actions in the Underworld and Tartarus had consumed vast amounts of divine power, weakening her. And with the Mythical World restricting the power of ancient gods like her, she was rendered nearly powerless in the current moment.

In this 1+1>2 scenario, Gaia had been weakened to her limits.

Because of this, Gaia's projection was unable to break through even the defenses of the Helmet of Invisibility. Sometimes, an opportunity only presents itself once, and that single moment was all Eris needed to escape.

Everything happened in an instant—so fast that no one could react in time. And in this situation, what would the outcome be?

Clearly!

It was already beyond doubt.

Everything that had occurred in the heavens ended in this strange and unexplainable way, leaving many baffled by what had just happened.

This outcome had been destined from the beginning.

"..."

Hera, Metis, Prometheus, and all the other gods of Mount Olympus fell into silence. They watched, waiting to see what the final result would be.

The most puzzling part…

Even Prometheus hadn't anticipated this. Gaia had seemingly prepared for everything, making all necessary arrangements, only for everything to collapse in the final moment because of Eris.

The most critical point was that Eris had almost effortlessly succeeded, and the only reason for Gaia's failure was due to her own actions.

When coincidences converge, they become reality. This was an undeniable fact, and that's what made the situation so frustrating.

Even Gaia, though enraged, could do nothing but activate her contingency plans.

One could say!

Gaia, as one of the original creator gods, had foreseen the need for numerous fallback strategies, and those strategies were now coming into play.

Eris, as well as the other gods, were nothing but coincidences.

But when coincidences align, they create undeniable results.

This was the most frustrating aspect of the situation, even for Gaia herself.

On the other side, within Abel's divine body, Zeus and Abel—father and son, two generations of God-Kings—stood face to face, silently watching each other.

"Father," Abel sneered mockingly. "It seems the final outcome has surpassed all expectations. Eris walking away with everything—how laughable!"

"My uncle, who did nothing, ended up the victor."

"My brother?"

"Hades!"

Zeus sighed with a touch of emotion. "I have to admit, in some ways, I'm no match for my brother. But I know my own flaws. Continuing down this path was always fraught with problems."

"And now…"

Zeus advanced slowly toward Abel, his voice calm. "Abel, once I devour all of you—once I absorb everything you are—I will finally become whole. That will be enough."

"Hehehe~~~"

A terrifying light flashed in Abel's eyes as he snarled, "Father! This is far from over. I won't lose!"

"Ahhh!"

Abel let out a furious roar as the divine fire of his essence burned fiercely.

At this moment!

The final result—who could say what it would be? No one knew what the outcome would be!
