Betrayal!

One week had passed, and the rain finally ceased in Beliz, leaving the city in a state of recovery. Zeyn, confined within the walls of his cell, let out a dry, hollow cry. His tears had dried up long ago, his eyes unable to shed any more rain. He knew he couldn't stay down forever; he had to pull himself together, for calamities come and go, but one must rise from the floor eventually.

Searching his pockets, Zeyn's fingers brushed against a pendant. The pendant—his only hope—dangled from his neck. He clung to it, hoping for a miracle, but nothing happened. With frustration boiling inside him, he closed his eyes, focusing all his power on the pendant, yet still, nothing.

In his moment of despair, Akira appeared before him. Their eyes met for the first time, and Akira bowed respectfully, uttering, "Long live, long live Tong si!"

Desperation overcame Zeyn as he fell to his knees before Akira, pleading for her help.

"Please, please help me," he implored, his voice tinged with desperation.

Akira's heart broke at the sight of Zeyn's anguish. She gently lifted his chin, meeting his tear-filled eyes. Examining the pendant, she realized the truth—it was a fake.

"It's fake," she whispered, tears welling in her eyes. "You were given the wrong pendant. How could they be so heartless? Now what are we going to do? Without the real pendant, your powers are limited."

Zeyn's world shattered at Akira's revelation. In a fit of anger and despair, he tore the pendant from his neck, smashing it against the wall until it turned to dust. He looked to Akira, his eyes pleading for guidance.

"Now what?" he asked, his voice trembling.

But Akira had no answers. Desperation seized them both until Zeyn noticed the Apple Watch on his wrist—a glimmer of hope in the darkness. With newfound determination, he tried to contact Layla, his fingers flying over the screen.

In Layla's house, the morning sun filtered through the curtains as she stared blankly at her phone. A message notification broke the silence, and with trembling hands, she unlocked her phone. It was from Zeyn.

As Layla read Zeyn's message, confusion and concern clouded her mind. What pendant was he talking about? The pendant she had given him from the orphanage?

Driven by a sense of urgency, Layla rushed to the orphanage, her heart pounding in her chest. But her arrival was met with resistance from the receptionist and guards, who viewed her with suspicion.

"Please, I need to see Mrs. Lee," Layla pleaded, her voice trembling with emotion.

Eventually, Layla found herself face to face with Mrs. Lee, desperation etched on her features as she begged for answers about Zeyn's pendant.

But Mrs. Lee's response only fueled Layla's confusion and frustration. The pendant had been given to Zeyn, and Mrs. Lee directed Layla to Mrs. Williams, providing her address.

Determined to uncover the truth, Layla made her way to Mrs. Williams' mansion, a fortress of steel and security. Despite being turned away by the guards, Layla stood her ground, waiting for Mrs. Williams to appear.

When Mrs. Williams finally emerged, her words were cold and dismissive, revealing her indifference towards Zeyn's plight.

Layla was stunned by Mrs. Williams' callousness, realizing that she couldn't rely on her for help. With nowhere else to turn, Layla was left alone, grappling with the harsh reality that no one seemed willing to aid Zeyn.

As uncertainty loomed over Zeyn's fate, Layla wondered if he would ever find freedom from his prison, or if he was destined to remain trapped forever.

Scene: Mrs Williams Mansion.

The imposing steel gate of Mrs. Williams' mansion loomed before Layla, surrounded by vigilant security. With determination etched on her face, Layla approached the guard stationed at the gate.

"Madam, may I be of help?" the guard inquired, eyeing Layla skeptically.

"I'm looking for Mrs. Williams," Layla stated firmly.

The guard glanced at Layla from head to toe before responding curtly, "She is not available."

Unfazed, Layla met the guard's gaze with steely resolve. "I will wait for her," she declared.

For eight long hours, Layla stood vigil by the gate, her determination unwavering despite the passing time. Finally, as the sun began its descent, Mrs. Williams's car appeared, pulling up to the gate. Layla's heart raced with anticipation as Mrs. Williams rolled down her window.

"Girly girl, I warned you to stay away from me and Zeyn," Mrs. Williams snapped, her tone laced with anger.

Layla stood her ground, undeterred. "I am only looking for the pendant," she insisted.

With a scowl, Mrs. Williams dismissed Layla's plea, her voice dripping with disdain. "The pendant is at the orphanage. I've said this more than five times. If anyone has to be blamed, it's Mrs. Lee. Go make your way to her. I don't understand what brings you here. Please leave, and the next time you come, you won't leave nicely."

"But he... he is in danger. He is held captive," Layla implored, her voice trembling with urgency.

Mrs. Williams's response was callous, her indifference cutting Layla to the core. "I wish I cared much, but he stopped being my priority the day he set foot at the orphanage."

Heart heavy with despair, Layla watched as Mrs. Williams's car disappeared into the mansion's premises. No one seemed to care, no one was bothered. Everyone turned a blind eye to Zeyn's plight, leaving Layla feeling more alone than ever.

As she stood before the imposing gates of Mrs. Williams's mansion, Layla wondered if Zeyn would ever find freedom or if he was destined to languish in prison forever.
