Chapter 76

In the bright morning, Lina awoke from her sleeping bag to find that her tent had been slashed open with a knife.

"Who would be so malicious as to rip my tent apart?" Lina grumbled, nudging the still-asleep Lisa beside her, only to receive her sleepy, mumbled response.

"Maybe it was the wind!" Lisa, ever detached and not a wordsmith, proffered this stiff lie to pacify Lina, who seemed to buy it.

"Was last night's wind really that fierce?" Lina can be so adorably naive at times.

Everyone emerged from their tents, mostly yawning. It was apparent their sleep had been less than restful! On reflection, this was to be expected, roughing it in the wild rarely affords the comforts of home, let alone if insects and mosquitos decide to join the party.

However, their spirits quickly lifted as a handsome man climbed up from the mountain's base, bringing with him an array of exotic eats and drinks.
