I will never forgive you for that

Ella and Eveline were supposed to return home that day, but an unexpected flight cancellation forced them to stay back at the hotel.

The day had been exhausting, and no matter how diligently they tried to gather information, nothing significant had come to light.

"I wish we could have found out more about the woman," Eveline muttered, lying on the bed next to Ella, who seemed lost in thought.

"I agree," Ella sighed, frustration evident in her voice. "No matter how deep we dig, there's nothing—like she never existed."

Eveline turned her head to face Ella, eyes filled with suspicion. "Are you sure Jedrick isn't fooling you with that contract?"

Ella hesitated, drawing in a deep breath. "I doubted him at first. But then… he's been so thoughtful all of a sudden. It made me question his intentions. I don't know if I'm right, but I swear, I saw love in his eyes."
