What a delight

The lady instantly frowned as she was shut off rudely but she didn't care.

"I have an appointment with Mr. Hooker" she said giving them the bored look.

"Is he not in?" She glanced at the opaque glass door of his office and back to the secretary.

"The Vice Chairman does not want to be disturbed." The secretary answered her rudely with her own tone.

She just rolled her eyes. "Tell him that Ms. Hales is here to see him"

'Ms. Hales?' The secretary eyed her suspiciously.

'Is she from the Hales family?'

The secretary went to her seat just at the entrance of his office and reluctantly picked up the telephone and pressed a number.

A few hushed words were exchanged but she heard clearly when he told the secretary to let her in.

She must be the closest secretary to him. The secretary stood up from her seat and walk over to her.

"This way, Miss" she said more professionally this time and walked over to the glass door. When they got to the glass door, she pressed some digits on the lock and something like a camera came out from the door and scanned her eyes.

Wow. Só....boring.

The door opened and she walked in first.

Her eyes scanned the room for him before it finally came to rest on him just by the window.

His hands rested in his pockets as he stared at the city. The roomed smelt of smoking so it was obvious he just finished smoking.

"Leave" he uttered and the secretary left us alone in the office.

A veryyy large office. It was quite obvious that the office occupied more than two- third of the entire floor.

"Mr. Hooker" she uttered lowly. The scent of the smoke in the room was almost choking.

He turned around. "Mrs. Hooker, what a delight."

Her body almost trembled as she was addressed by his own name.

She felt it was just sinking into her that she was married to this man.

"Let's get to business, shall we?" She said gaining her stance.

"Of course. Come, sit" he said and walked over to the other side of the table and drew a chair for her.

She walked over and said a thank you as she sat.

Instead of walking over to his seat, he just stressed his hand across to the table and brought to files and handed one to her.

The heading of the file read MARRIAGE CONTRACT.
