Emma Stone is back—back in Los Santos.
After filming Twilight in Oregon, she had planned to return to Arizona to spend time with her parents. However, the night before her departure, she found herself alone in a hotel room, watching Saturday Night Live.
The next day, rather unexpectedly, she arrived in Los Santos.
Xu Can, still half-asleep, heard the sound of a door opening. His groggy mind immediately assumed the worst—a burglar. Instinctively, he reached for a baseball bat by his bedside. But just as he was about to react, his eyes fell on the familiar, graceful figure standing in the doorway.
Emma Stone.
During the past few weeks of filming, she had lost some weight, appearing even more slender than before.
"May…" she began, her voice soft, as if she had been meaning to tell him something about SNL.
But before she could continue, Xu Can stepped forward and wrapped her in a tight embrace, pulling her close.
"I missed you. I missed you so much, baby." His voice was hoarse with emotion.
Emma's thousands of words condensed into a single reply:
"I missed you too."
A small cry escaped her lips. "Eh? What are you—ah!"
Without warning, Xu Can scooped her up over his shoulder, carrying her toward the bedroom. Her suitcase remained abandoned at the door.
"What are you doing?" she protested, laughing as she lightly pounded his back.
"What do you think?" he teased, his grip firm.
"Huh? Wait—I just got back!"
"And I can't wait."
His voice was unwavering, his determination absolute.
He threw her on the bed, then removed the jeans as well as panties she was wearing, then inserted his hard morning wood in her pussy.
Pah
Pah
He hammered her pussy from behind as her ass rippled with every thrust of his hip. Moans of Emma and him, along with sounds of their flesh colliding in passion, spread in the room.
"Ooh"
"Aah baby, slow down"
Pah
Pah
Half an hour later, after a long shower, the two finally made their way to a restaurant for breakfast.
Emma, still flushed from the warmth of the shower, sipped her coffee.
"How is it? Does the milk taste good?" Xu Can asked, his tone neutral, his expression unreadable.
"Pfft—!" Emma almost choked on her drink, coughing as she looked at him suspiciously.
Though his face remained serious, his eyes were gleaming mischievously.
"Something about you feels off," she muttered, narrowing her eyes.
Xu Can only smirk.
She sighed, setting down her cup.
"So, are you staying put for a while this time? Why didn't you go home to visit your parents?" Xu Can asked.
"You're still on about that?" Emma frowned. "You know exactly why."
She crossed her arms, her irritation resurfacing.
"And what's going on with SNL? Since when did you and Taylor become so close?"
Xu Can leaned back in his chair. "That's just a professional collaboration."
Emma raised a skeptical eyebrow.
"Seriously," he insisted. "It's nothing more than work."
His conscience was clear—aside from that one sneaky kiss. But even that, he reasoned, had been subtle enough to go unnoticed.
Emma, however, wasn't convinced.
"The media is practically exploding with rumors about you two," she pointed out, watching his reaction carefully.
Xu Can sighed. It came with the territory. As the most popular Spider-Man actor in the country, any romantic speculation involving him was guaranteed to be top-tier news.
"You really believe everything the media says?" he countered. "You know how they operate."
Emma studied him for a moment before finally sighing. "Fine. But I swear—if I see anything suspicious…"
Xu Can chuckled, raising his hands in mock surrender.
"Noted, Miss Stone."
"Then what can I do? I'm really… really afraid of losing you, Xu. I've realized that I can't live without you."
Emma Stone's voice was soft yet filled with vulnerability. She wasn't angry anymore. Instead, she quietly moved her chair closer to Xu Can, reaching for his hand. Her eyes—brimming with admiration and longing—searched his face, desperate for reassurance.
Perhaps, because of her usual restraint, she had left so much unsaid before.
But now, faced with younger, more beautiful rivals, Emma felt an overwhelming sense of crisis.
Ever since Xu Can had stepped into her world with that electrifying on-screen kiss during Spider-Man, she hadn't been able to escape his hold on her heart.
Xu Can didn't answer immediately. Instead, he pulled her into his arms, resting her head against his chest. His fingers brushed through her hair gently, soothing her silent fears.
"Do you hear me?" His voice was low, steady. "You won't lose me—unless one day, you choose to leave."
There was an undeniable weight to his words, filled with sincerity and deep affection. A love that felt as unwavering as Peter Parker's devotion to Gwen Stacy.
Women often listen more to actions than words, and at that moment, Emma didn't need to hear anything else. Xu Can's embrace, his warmth, and his presence were enough.
She clung to him, happiness washing over her. A single tear of emotion slipped from the corner of her eye, but her lips curved into a soft smile.
'Cut. Bravo!'
Inside his mind, Xu Can rated his performance—an eight. Remarkable, but with room for improvement.
However, the morning was far from over.
The two lost themselves in each other once more, their passion filling the room.
It wasn't until another forty breathless minutes later that Xu Can finally made his way to the bathroom again, the cool water washing over him.
He had somewhere to be.
Galaxy Music—the newly founded record label—was waiting, and today, he had a meeting with its very first signed artist: Taylor Swift.
Meanwhile, Emma lay sprawled across Xu Can's bed, fast asleep. A lingering smile still played on her lips, the remnants of their time together etched into her dreams.
News of Taylor Swift signing with Galaxy Records sent a few ripples through the industry, but nothing major.
After all, the music world was overflowing with country singer-songwriters. Many would rise to fame for a year or two before fading into obscurity. No one could guarantee success with just one album.
Fortunately, Taylor herself didn't seem to mind the lack of media attention. In fact, she welcomed it.
It gave her the space she needed to focus entirely on her craft.
Her songwriting progress was already far ahead of schedule. Many of the songs from her debut album had been written and released in 2007, and her second album, Fearless, wasn't officially launched until November 2008.
Now, however, she was ahead of the timeline. Most of the demos for Fearless were already complete—all that remained was the production work: arranging, recording, and fine-tuning the tracks before the album's official release.
For the past few weeks, Swift had thrown herself into these preparations.
When Xu Can arrived at Galaxy Music Studio, he found her immersed in her work, discussing arrangements with the production team. Despite her busy schedule, she still managed to greet him with a teasing smile.
"Xu, are you here to take me on a date?" she quipped, tilting her head playfully. "Unfortunately, I have to go over the arrangements with the team today, so I might not have time for you."
Xu Can chuckled, unfazed.
"It's okay. We'll go out after you're done. I just wanted to see how things were coming along."
Taylor's expression softened. "I really like it here. Everyone's so professional, and they take music seriously. It's exactly the kind of environment I needed."
It was clear from the spark in her eyes that she was thriving in this new space, completely in her element.
"Good. That's what I wanted," Xu Can said.
She glanced at him, her voice quieter now. "Thank you, Xu. You've done so much for me—"
He held up a hand, cutting her off with a smirk.
"If you keep thanking me, I'm going to get annoyed. What's the point of our relationship if we're still being so formal?"
Taylor blinked, then broke into a small laugh.
"Alright, alright. I'll go back to work then. You have a meeting, right?"
"Yeah. We'll talk later."
"Okay. Bye~"
Before heading back to the studio, Taylor turned around and, on impulse, wrapped her arms around Xu Can in a quick, warm embrace.
Then, with a playful wave, she disappeared into the recording studio, leaving Xu Can with a small smile on his lips.
Xu Can felt a temporary sense of relief.
Emma Stone's unexpected morning ambush had completely drained his energy, leaving him with no extra stamina to deal with Swift.
That was fine.
Some fruits weren't meant to be picked in a hurry—letting them ripen naturally would only make them sweeter.
For now, Xu Can needed to shift his focus to work. This wasn't just about handling day-to-day tasks; it was about laying the foundation for his long-term vision.
Galaxy Pictures: The Strategy Meeting
"The review results are in—it's officially rated R. That alone was a challenge to secure," reported Joey White, head of the production department at Galaxy Pictures.
"We've carefully analyzed the release schedule to avoid direct competition with summer blockbusters. We're positioning it toward the end of the spring window, locking in May 4th as the release date."
Joey's presentation was meticulous, reflecting the careful planning that had gone into the project.
Xu Can had personally recruited top-tier talent from Fox, Disney, Warner Bros., and other major studios. Money wasn't an issue—he was willing to spend whatever it took to secure the best minds in the industry.
"As for marketing, we've already produced promotional materials, including trailers and posters. The trailer will debut online first, and about a month before release, we'll launch the full offline campaign."
"Good. Schedule the trailer release for today," Xu Can said, nodding. "Are NBC, FOX, and CBS all set?"
"Yes, boss," Joey confirmed. "We've locked in airtime with all the major networks, and we've also secured pre-roll ads in Columbia Cinemas."
"Perfect. Start rolling it out."
Just as the meeting was wrapping up, Joey hesitated for a moment before adding, "By the way, boss… there's one more thing."
Xu Can raised an eyebrow. "What is it?"
"The trailer should go live on your Facebook page as well. You've already built a global fanbase of over 10 million followers, and your engagement rates consistently rank in the top 10 on the platform. Posting it there could drive substantial views."
That made sense. Twitter had launched by this time but hadn't yet fully taken off, while Facebook remained one of the most dominant social media platforms.
"Good idea," Xu Can agreed. "Make sure to follow up on media coverage and online discussions after the release."
Once the decision was made, execution followed immediately.
The marketing team uploaded the final cut of the trailer to Xu Can's Facebook account.
Sitting at his desk, Xu Can picked up his laptop, savoring the moment. With a subtle smile, he clicked the publish button.
The first film produced and funded by Galaxy Pictures—John Wick—now has its first official trailer.
The countdown to May 4th had begun.
