Beginning of Journey

In the past, an ordinary warrior accidentally destroyed the barrier between gods and humanity. As this warrior stood on the path between gods and humans, one question arose

[What is the purpose of human existence?]

He is the only human at this moment standing on a path beyond imagination, timeless, dimensionless, without light, without darkness. Simply put, it is the path of emptiness. As this warrior stood on this path, he saw humans and even the universe as mere dust. As the warrior's thoughts began to approach the realm of the gods, new questions continuously arose in his mind

[What is life?]

[What is death?]

[What is existence?]

...

questions relentlessly plagued the warrior's mind. Meanwhile, he began to realize the gradual loss of his sense of self, becoming increasingly aware that this was not a place where humans could enter and sustain their existence. Why did he still cling to life upon arriving here? He started feeling something gnawing deep within his psyche. With no time to seek answers, he urgently needed to leave before he transformed into something unrecognizable. Even though he once saw humans as mere ants while on this path, ultimately, he remained human himself. He had a family, friends, compelling him to flee as quickly as possible before it was too late.

After some time, he finally emerged from that path of emptiness. But it seemed everything had gone too far. It was as if some malevolent force had seized control of his mind. The only thing he could think of now was

[Destroy! Destroy! Destroy!]

In a matter of minutes, this strange compulsion began to destroy everything, and it was beyond the capability of ordinary humans to handle. It transcended the common understanding of humanity. Its existence started to erase the past, present, and future simultaneously. Countless worlds were destroyed due to the emergence of this anomalous compulsion.

This conspicuous action left one deity feeling alarmed and bewildered because everything that unfolded was the work of humans driven by an incomprehensible divine compulsion. It was impossible for humans to grasp the divine compulsion and power of the deity. However, this unforgivable act led this deity to decide to seal the divine compulsion in a sword called

"The Darkness Abyss"

and bestowed upon this incomprehensible divine compulsion the name

"False God"

because it has shattered all the rules within the deity's ordained domain.

As it was a divine compulsion of the deity, it could not be eradicated, as the deity existed beyond the concepts of life and death. Elimination was deemed impossible for what was referred to as the deity.

A young boy suddenly speaks up.

"Geez, Grandpa, I've heard this exaggerated story so many times I'm getting bored."

The old man smiles faintly and replies.

"Haha, sometimes it might not be as exaggerated as you think, Kevin."

After a while, the old man began to speak more seriously, with a hint of sadness.

"Kevin, in two years you'll be going to Babylonia to become a knight. How confident are you that you can pass the selection to become a knight?"

The boy puffed out his chest, smiling confidently, and replied to the old man,

"Of course, I'm one hundred percent confident. Becoming a knight is no big deal, haha."

The old man smiled and said,

"Kevin, I have something to give you, and over the next two years, I'll make sure your confidence exceeds one hundred percent."

Then, the old man took an old sword from the storage cabinet and handed it to Kevin, saying,

"Kevin, this sword will be yours. From now on, I will train your mind and body to harmonize with this sword. Two years might not be enough to fully master it, but it should be more than enough to help you pass the knight selection."

Kevin looked slightly disappointed because the sword was dusty and very old.

"I thought it would be something more impressive."

The old man replied,

"Kevin, have you ever heard the saying, 'Don't judge a book by its cover'?"

Kevin didn't respond. He took the sword and tried to draw it from its sheath. As he did, Kevin felt a strange pressure emanating from the sword, filled with darkness and sorrow. He was overwhelmed by this pressure for a moment until the old man had to punch Kevin in the face with full force. Surprisingly, although the punch was strong enough to snap Kevin back to reality, he didn't feel any pain. The old man quickly asked with concern,

"Are you alright, Kevin?"

Kevin hurriedly sheathed the sword, and his feelings returned to normal. It was as if, for a moment while holding the sword, his very existence had stood in an unknown place. Kevin couldn't explain the feeling.

"Grandpa, I'm fine. But what is this sword, exactly?"

The old man answered Kevin,

"I got this sword from a woman who had a newborn baby. She was willing to give up everything to have me take care of that child. But I wasn't so heartless as to abandon someone in such dire straits. She only told me that if the child grew up strong, I should give him this sword."

Kevin asked,

"Was that woman my mother?"

The old man could only reply,

"I don't know. But since I was once a knight of the Kingdom of Babylonia, I have to keep the promise I made to that woman. For the next two years, I'll train you to become a knight, and I hope you'll find the answers to all the questions you're seeking. Are you ready, Kevin!?"

Kevin responded confidently,

"Yes, sir!"

Two years passed in the remote village of Asdana, far from the kingdom of Babylonia.

An old man was ready to bid farewell to a young boy.

"Kevin, you must be ready by now?"

The boy puffed out his chest, smiling confidently, and replied to the old man,

"Of course, Grandpa. The knights of Babylonia are no big deal, haha."

The old man smiled at the young boy and waved goodbye.

"Good luck, Kevin."

After walking for a while, Kevin's eyes welled up with tears. He turned around and shouted back,

"Thanks for everything, Grandpa!"

And thus, Kevin's journey began.
