DATING DREY {I}
(Lexi's office) 10:00pm
Lexi's POV:
Oh God, I'm so tired. I had a lot to do today.
I checked my time. Damn, I must have got carried away in the files that I didn't know time had flew fast. I have to go home now, I can't spend the night here.
At that time My stomach grumbled. I haven't even taken lunch or should I say, dinner.
I walked to my car and shouted at the gateman to open the gate.
" Sorry madam, I thought you will spend the night in the office"
" Just open the gate,or you need a slap to reset your brain?"
" No-no ma"
He opened the gate and I drove home.
Home,here I am. It's so good to be home. I made noodles for dinner and freshened up. Well, I like making my own food so I didn't get any maid.
Now, it's time to go to bed. It's been a hell of a day. I need a good night's rest. I have a meeting to attend by 10:00am. I didn't forget to set the alarm before going to bed.
NEXT DAY
I woke up from this creeping nightmare. It's so scary. Thank God it's not real
I checked the time and it says 8:45am. I made my coffee. Brushed my teeth and took salads for breakfast. I need to get to office before 10:00am. I can't afford to lose this client, he's a big shot

I just closed the deal with Mr. Kyle. I'm so glad. I'm sure this deal is gonna fetch us a lot of money.

"Hello, I'm Alexandria,who am I speaking with?"
" Hey,Ann. It's Drey"
" Oh,Drey. Thanks for the other day"
" Don't mention, the pleasure is all mine"
I scoffed at the way he said it.
" Are you free for lunch?"
" Just a moment... I think I'll be free, what's up?"
" I'd like to take you out for lunch, my treat"
What's up with this guy? It's barely been a week since that day. I hope it's not what I'm thinking.
" Are you there?"
" Uhh, yeah, ok"
I'll come pick you up,is that ok by you?"
"" Yeah, bye, gotta go"
" Bye,see you later"
I cut the call, I don't like this feeling,why the hell did I say yes? . What will my staff think when they see a guy picking me up? Damn my staff, it's not like anything is between us.
I still have some files to attend to by the way. I should get on with it.

Knock! knock!! knock!!!
"Who's that?"

" What is it?"
" Ma, you have a visitor "
" Who's the person?"
"He said he's Drey "
" Let him in"
I unconsciously smiled. Gosh, what's this feeling? I hate it.
" Hi pretty "
" Hey "
How's your day going?"
" Great." Apart from the part where you spoilt it. I added in my mind. " I think we are good to go" I said.
" Yeah sure"
We took his car to a popular restaurant in town. The waiter just came to take our orders.
" I'll take roasted chicken and a bottle of baron Romero" he ordered his
" Ice cream, banana flavored and fruit salad"
" Looks like our babe doesn't want to take heavy food"
I forced a small smile.
Can he be less annoying? I thought
There's this awkward silence. An uncomfortable one.
I parted my lips to break the silence but he was faster than me.
" I think I like you. "I heard him say.
Oh no, I must have heard him wrong. How can he like me when we don't even know each other. No, I really must have heard him wrong so I see decided to behave like I didn't hear that.
" Aren't you supposed to say anything?"
" And what was I supposed you say. I like you too? That's absurd"
He smiled. It's not funny idiot, I said in my mind.
" It's not funny,is it?" I finally blurted out when I couldn't hold it anymore
" You know, I've been noticing you for quite some time now" he replied instead.
I blushed, surprising even myself
"Quite some time? Does that mean you've been stalking me?? Uhh"
I could see that mischievous smile on his face. He looks hot when he smile. I'll give him that.
" Who wouldn't know the hottest CEO in town?"
That struck me hard, hottest?. I really don't know how to reply to that. Thank Goodness, the waiter is here to give our orders,at least I could take a break.
" I'll like to use the restroom " I said slowly.
"Ok"
Ugh, thank God, I don't need to get fresh air. I never knew staying so close to him could be so suffocating.
Drey's POV:
Wow, this girl is just so beautiful, I can't wait. She's even more beautiful than the papers.
Looks like she's done with her supposed restroom break. I knew that was just an excuse to take a break from me.
" Welcome back"
" Yeah"
I flashed her a seductive smile.
" I said I like you and I want us to be a thing"
" That's out of the blue. Absurd,if you ask me"
I expected that so I wasn't surprised and I can see she's nervous
" I know but I just can't help it. I love you"
" W-wh-what! Love, how?"
She looks funny when saying that but I don't dare laugh.
"I really do love you. I mean, you're so sexy and hot,who wouldn't love you " She blushed real hard at that.
That's a second.
" Will you be my girlfriend...plsss?"
" Why? I don't even know you " I could see she's wavering.
" Just think about it and get back to me "
" Ok, I will "
Ok babe, let's eat. You don't want your ice cream to melt" I smiled at her.
" Yeah, let's eat "
We ate our meal silently. Then I went to drop her off at the office.
" Thanks for the lunch Drey "
" Don't mention, it's my pleasure taking you out "
" Ok, I gotta go "
I should know when next I could see her, I thought.
" So, when next am I seeing your beautiful face?"
" Uhh. I don't know. We'll talk on phone " she replied.
" And, think about my proposal "
" I'll think about it. Bye, I have work to do "
" Ok, bye. Can I at least get a hug?"
She hesitated for a moment before she allowed me hug her.
I grinned as I watched her go into the building.

Ah,oh God. Who the hell is that. Can't I sleep peacefully again? I grumbled as I picked up the call.
Hell, it's Ann. I have to tune down my voice so I won't sound grumpy.
" Hello babe"
" Hi Drey, how's your day?" I had a awful day, I thought
"Fine and yours" I replied instead.
" I've had a very hectic day"
" Oh, sorry about that"
" I was thinking that we should meet, when are you chanced?"
This is not good, I don't want to leave my house again today. Yes, she can come over, I grinned.
" What about dinner at my house, I can cook you know?" I could picture her hesitating. Then came the answer I hoped for.
" Ok, text me the time and address"
" Ok then,see you soon"
" Bye"
Now I have work to do again. Everywhere is just jumbled up. I'll have to arrange. What should I cook? Hmmm.... Oh yeah. I'll make Chinese rice with chicken laps in curry sauce and vegetable salad.
That settled. I should arrange my room too, just in case. I don't really fancy surprises.
HOURS LATER
All done, now let me freshen up. I got into the bathtub even before it warmed. I washed my self and came out, I feel refreshed

I heard the door bell ring. It must be Ann. Am not even dressed yet. I picked up a shirt and baggy trousers and dressed quickly. I went to answer the door.
" Wow, you look beautiful " I compliment her.
In truth,' beautiful ' cannot describe how she look, she's just perfect.
" Thank you, you don't look bad yourself" of course, I don't look bad in baggy pants
" Come on in"
She came and I ushered her to sit.
" The food is ready, I just need to set the table, hope you don't mind?"
" Nah, I can help with that"
" Oh, that's great then, let's go"
I led her into the kitchen. I arranged the meals pot while she took them to the dinning table "
When the table was set, I led her to the dinning and pulled out a chair for her. I served her before sitting down myself.
" Thanks for been such a gentleman "
" It's my pleasure "
She smiled. We ate in silence for some time before she broke the silence spell.
" You're a good cook by the way "
Thanks. So, what's up. I know you didn't come here just to hang out "
" I just came to hang out, anything wrong with that?"
" No, nothing. Am just surprised...erm what is your response to what I asked you the other day?"
I asked silently, scared of the answer I'm gonna get.
" What was the question again?"
This girl is really playing me, she wants me to ask again, no P.
" Will you be my girlfriend?"she was silent for a while,then she replies.
" Yes, but on a condition. I'll be your girlfriend on one condition "
