A star had lit up when I ate that golden apple from one of the roots of the World Tree in the elves' forest.

I didn't know what stars were, much less what they did or what effect they had on a person.

Ever since Luna told me that her star had lit up, I couldn't quite believe it.

Because the first star was an ability, called an "Innate Ability," and as Luna explained, these abilities lack logical sense.

But I wasn't sure if the other stars were also abilities like the first one.

When my vision darkened, I could see the star's glow intensifying beyond its previous brightness.

Before, it was just a faint shimmer, but suddenly, it shone much stronger.
