Tanya did the exam and then as soon as she was done she returned home. She found it to be fair, she just hoped she passed. Due to the 80 percent threshold required to pass many people failed each session less than 10 people passed the court lady exam when 100 would take the test.

Then came time for the waiting. For the next few days, Tanya worried about the results of the exam. Every letter that came in the mail she feared it was from the palace. It was a week later when she finally got the results.

"Tanya, you received a letter from the palace," Madea told her as she came into the salon where the family were chatting together.

Everyone knew it was the results of the court lady exam. Tanya took the letter.

Madea and Taron watched as her hands nervously shook and opened the rolled-up letter unsealing the royal seal.

Tanya's hands shook as she read the contents of the letter.
