Apology and agreement

"I am aware. However, I need you to stay for an additional week." He gives a deadpan expression.

Phina looked at Patrick, her eyes shooting up.

I apologize. What does that mean to you? She inquired.

Patrick let out a moan. Phina urged him to repeat himself, even though he detested doing so. He did so patiently.

"You must remain here for an additional week, giving your stay two weeks." Phina banged loudly as she fiercely struck her fist against the table.

He just stared at her, knowing that this eruption was inevitable.

Patrick, don't fucking tell me that. In eight days, this bargain will expire—actually, seven. Phina let out a groan.

"I know."

"No, you do not," she spit out. "What's the matter, Ricky? What do you think I am? A robot or a toy? I must live my own life, Patrick, for crying out loud. I should have moved on from your life by now, but here I am since you threatened me."

"I never did that."
