Still angry

Phil stopped by Patrick's office to say hello. That morning, Patrick had left for work quite early. He had to leave the house, even though he had assured his grandma that he would return on time. For him, the mansion that had always been his haven started to feel oppressive, so he drove himself to work, leaving early.

He persuaded him, and they headed to the club with Phil. Phil was referring to his daughter and wife. He kept telling him how his daughter was walking now, how lovely it was to watch his daughter take her first step, and how she smiled and applauded for herself every time she went a few feet. He was leaving the conversation most of the time. His mind was elsewhere. In addition to being upset with that person, he was missing them.

Looking closely at him, Phil asked, "Are you listening to me?"
